Reviews
"You will normally not find me giving bad reviews because I realize everyone has bad days sometimes. However, the service at this location has gone WAY down in the last 6 months or so. My husband and I usually eat here at least once a week. Yesterday evening we went in and was greeted by an unfriendly host who basically threw our menus and silverware on the table. We waited more than 10 minutes and several wait staff kept walking past us but no one ever acknowledged we were there. We finally just got up and walked out and no one said a word to us. This isn’t the first time that’s happened, but we’ve never had to wait that long. The restaurant only had about 6 tables total that were occupied, so it’s not like they were packed. We have frequented this place for over 10 years but not anymore."
"I was referred by a worker to go there. The bruschetta was more like pizza bread. The veal Parmesan was watered down gravy. I’m sorry it was horrible. The chicken Parmesan was fried not breaded and was served with a meat sauce that was not good. It should have been a marinara sauce. The only thing that was good was the salad. I ordered miller lite and when I ordered another one they ran out. We both worked 12 hours and was starving now both home with a stomach ache. The server was young and embarrassed. She was really nice and helpful."
"You sit down, and they bring you bread sticks and marinara. Good first impression. My husband had the Baked Lasagna, and he said it was alright. Meaning to him, it didn't have great flavor but was just ok. I had the Chicken Piccata, and it also wasn't the best. The mushrooms tasted canned and mushy. The sauce was to think, so you didn't get the lemon flavor. Will try again, hoping for something a little better. There were a lot of staff on duty that were just standing around."
"I used to go to Gondolier on a regular basis, for the best manicotti I have ever had in any eating establishment. The time the waitress paid more attention to her phone waiting for FB to come back online than checking with the only customers in the place, at the time, was a bit of a turn off. Next time we went, me for the manicotti, him for the spaghetti with meat sauce, our food was served totally cold...today, he decided on spaghetti and meatballs, he said the meatballs were really good but the sauce was a little too spicy, and too watery..."
