"I'm a young woman who has stayed here alone numerous times. I've never felt unsafe or unwelcome. I see reviews stating how it is dated, they felt uneasy, etc. . .while that may be some people's experience it has never been mine. I've only ever had encounters with one man at the front desk. I believe his name is Skipper. He is kind and very welcoming. I have chosen the wrong room online line a few times and he's always happy to change it for me. While the rooms are older they are always clean and smell fresh. This is not a sandals resort so anyone stating it was old and outdated should be more mindful when they book their reservation. There are photos online of what the rooms look like so there should be no surprise. It's a very cost effective hotel in a very expense part of South Carolina. I will definitely be back to stay."

"Customer service was great, but the room left much to be desired. Not only was it very dated and had shoddy repairs, but it was also dirty. There was a pile of swept up dirt left behind the bathroom door and the exposed pipes under the sink were covered in grime and dust. Every single piece of linen was stained- sheets and pillow cases had black spots (possibly makeup) and hair woven through them, and all the white towels and rags were discolored with yellow/tan marks. I was very mislead by all the great reviews. It was honestly one of the worst places I've ever stayed"

"Room was renovated and clean. Parking was available right in front of the room. Bedding was a bit stiff and could probably be replaced. Would stay again."
