"Our aging father had done business with this firm for years and when he became too old to live alone, he put him home for sale and let him set the price. He had pretty much full control over the sale of the home. The only problem was that house sat unsold for years. In those years, he never got any calls as to what people were saying, how things were going or what we needed to do to move the house. NOTHING. Sadly, we discovered it was overpriced. We later saw the photos of the listing, something we never even saw. The photos were terrible for a profession real estate firm. They were a joke. Very amateurish. I could tell that this property wasn't very interesting to him. I finally showed our father what was happening and the property was over priced and we were chasing the market down. Sad really. We didn't even get low offers - NOTHING. Not one report. We finally got a new broker, did some work on the home, and priced it accordingly and sold it in roughly 30 days.
