"As I face down the barrel of a second exploratory lap for my surgically confirmed stage 4 endometriosis, I am reflecting heavily upon my experience with Dr. Park as my gynecologist and surgeon back in 2019. Sheron Philips, the absolutely brilliant NP that was in that office back then, after a single thorough visit with me suspected I might have endometriosis based on my ovarian cysts, my pains, complaints and symptoms and she referred me to Dr. Park. I work for an OBGYN office for Northwell now which is the only reason Dr. Park is no longer my physician, and I am frustrated by many of the bad reviews here for Dr. Park. So many of these issues listed by other patients are completely out of Dr. Park’s hands and also I suspect are due to Dr. Park’s accent and straight to the point demeanor. None of these things actually reflect on her abilities as an excellent practitioner. From the moment my care was transitioned to Dr. Park, she listened to everything I had to say, she explained everything thoroughly every time, she showed up (not on call) when I showed up in the Winthrop ER a month prior to my scheduled surgery, she never rushed me because I never allowed it and she never tried. She performed my endo surgery to as great of success as can be expected with as advanced of a case as mine and her follow up care was completely above and beyond. If I weren’t bound to Northwell doctors due to my insurance, I’d go back to her for my next surgery with absolutely no hesitation. She is caring and kind and knowledgeable if you advocate for yourself and get to know her. I recently got my records from her for my new gyno surgeon and I had absolutely no issue in terms of discrepancy between what she wrote in the notes from my visits and my memory of my visits. absolutely give Dr. Park a chance, she is a phenomenal clinician and surgeon. She absolutely saved my life."

"My GYN suspected Endometriosis since I have had no luck with hormone treatment for my PCOS symptoms. So they recommended I seek a consult from a doctor who specialized in Endometriosis. Dr. Parks visit lasted no more than 5 minutes. I felt unheard, ridiculed, not believed and shamed as she said "if you don't like hormone treatment what do you want me to do, you can see an endocrinologist for pcos medicine but i dont think its Endometriosis. i think its your non-ovulatory bleeding and pain affected by weight and maybe pcos." I told her I've tried mirena iud for 6months and I've been on multiple different birth controls for the past 2 years and she said "options are limited if you don't like birth control. if you lose 5 to 10 percent of your weight your issues will go away" Didn't allow me to explain that everything she is suggesting I literally had done and symptom didn't improve which is why they said I might have other problems interfering with my progress. I went to work an hour late for no reason. The only positive thing I got from this was a letter so I could grab starbuck before work."

"Dr. Park has no compassion whatsoever. In the beginning she seemed a bit rude but my husband and I assumed it could have been due to a language barrier.  And because I needed this procedure we looked past it. Two weeks after my procedure I was due for post-op care and not only did I wait in the office for an hour to be seen but when I was finally called in my visit was 4 minutes (I have a recording of the visit that's how I know) and she had the nerve to rush us out cause she had a call to make. She asked that we schedule a visit for 9/2/22 5 weeks after my initial post op. I also had to keep sending messages in the portal in order to get someone else to assist me as I couldn't ask any questions at the time. Now my visit on 9/2 was unnecessary and the worst visit by far. I didn't see the reason for coming in, mind you it's almost an hour ride to the office. Dr. Park rushed and dismissed most of our questions and concerns. She was condescending and simply didn't show much concern for the symptoms I mentioned I was feeling. I asked for images as well and she didn't want to show them to me then stated "I don't have to show theses to you" when I asked to take a picture since it seems as though she didn't wanna show them to us nor really walk us through any of it. At this point I just got up and left because the visit was just getting irritating. She then wrote false information in my chart stating that she did everything she clearly didn't do. To be honest I am grateful that most of my fibroids are gone, maybe all of them who knows (she states she doesn't know) but I'm concerned because I'm wondering if she rushed through my surgery, did she overlook anything, etc. But anyhow thankfully I never have to go back there and deal with her. Everyone else is great but she needs a communications class or something."

"I had my first appointment with Dr. Park and I left in tears. She was incredibly invalidating and didn’t try to listen or see where I was coming from in any way. I felt attacked and like I was in trouble for having pain - she basically scoffed at me saying I have GI problems, try to find someone with more empathy. This is not your doctor if you are looking for someone to listen, and validate your concerns. I am in the worst health of my life and yet, it must be a stomach problem. I left and booked my next appointment with someone else."

"It is absolutely disgusting how this office treats their patients. I would never in my life recommend them to anyone. Dr. Park had ordered an MRI for me, which I went to at a radiology facility and could not physically and mentally get through due to severe claustrophobia. The nurses during that MRI appointment whom were very lovely (not associated with Dr. Park) suggested I speak to my doctor about having a one-time anxiety medicine prescribed to get through the open MRI. They said this happens often and that my doctor will understand the situation. What ensued was continual frustration for weeks after trying to get in contact with Dr. Park. Every time I called, no one picked up or I was transferred to a voicemail. I had to move my follow up MRI appt twice because she never could get back to me. I called again today after weeks of showing my warranted frustration, and finally received a response that was not reflecting of a single word I had said. 3 different nurses relayed 3 different incorrect messages to Dr. Park, and in the end, I was transferred to their "head" nurse who was the most condescending of them all. She told me that she doesn't see "anxiety" listed as a problem on my chart, and cannot "prescribe benzos" to me. Who says that??.. As I explained to her that I only need to get through this one MRI appt and that I don't have DAILY anxiety - I am just severely claustrophobic - she proceeded to YELL over me instead of listening, which was a theme throughout this entire experience. This office made me feel completed neglected to the point that I cannot complete this extremely important MRI appointment which is detrimental to my health."
