"I have to say, I was very pleased with the therapy I received from Bernadette Barron. For the life of me, I could never seem to get a psychologist to call me back. So I started looking for Psychiatric/Mental-Health Nurse Practitioners. Nurse Practitioners can also prescribe anti-depressants and anti-anxiety medications if necessary. I've been suffering from anxiety and depression for years. Other therapists I tried in the past hadn't worked out but Bernadette was able to get to my core issues in just a few visits. I didn't feel like just a number, I felt she was genuinely listening to me. Bernadette Barron even went past the time we were supposed to spend together. She offers 'Genetic Testing' as well so there's no more guessing what medication therapies will work (or not work!). This test works from sending a saliva sample (FedEx) to a special lab. When the results come back she knows what medication therapy will work best for each individual. Her office is very calming too and she also offers holistic therapies. That stuff isn't for me though so I went with the traditional medication therapy she offers but knowing she offers such a wide range of therapies is comforting. These are the therapies she lists on her website. Hopefully she can provide the same relief to you... Depression, Post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD), Eating disorders (bulimia and anorexia), Bipolar, Schizophrenia, Postpartum depression, Anxiety, Panic attacks, Social Anxiety, OCD, Mental illness."
