"I was referred to them 6 months ago. Done blood work. See you in 6 months. (No results til then) went in for app today for results. Told me everything I already knew from other Dr.'s (not rheumatologist related) tells me I have a positive Ana. See you in a yr. I don't have enough evidence to treat you. I've had same symptoms for 20 yrs. Pain is stiff tight muscles. Not all of it is. If thats really what's going on at all. Illsee you in a year to check symptoms again. . No thank you. I need someone to take me seriously."
"I left my appointment and CRIED. thank God that there’s a review on here just after me that speaks of having pretty much the same experience that I did. I am a 29 year old female, who was referred here because I have chronic pain and have for many years, and was so excited to finally get some solutions or answers. Dr.Luk immediately dismissed my pain as “muscle tightness” probably because I’m overweight and that’s all he saw. He probably spoke to me for a minute before deciding I didn’t have an autoimmune diseases and handed me a print out of stretches. He didn’t offer to perform any tests or labs, made fun of the disease fibromyalgia and said it isn’t real and to stay away from that word because it means nothing. I have to pay for my exam out of pocket because I have no health insurance so this is a huge expense for me. I didn’t expect to be dismissed so fast and sent home to do “stretches” for the pain I have all over my body for years as well as many other life debilitating symptoms. I cannot believe how awful of an experience this is and I also cannot believe another woman MY AGE had the same experience as me so now I got confirmation. This is not okay."
"Extremely disappointed. I went to Dr. Francis Luk concerning joint pain and inflammation severely affecting my everyday health. I’m a 28 year old female. He refused to take my blood or preform any further testing due to a past doctor’s diagnosis of HS. His only solution after 30 seconds of talking to me was take Humira. He said if I don’t want to take Humira come back when I’m ready. Humira is your only option. Wow I’m trying to figure out what’s going on with my body; and the doctor is simply not listening to me and pushing me to take a very serious medication with very serious side effects."
"This practice is way better then Asheville Arthritis, who looked 2 seconds at my referral and bone scan and denied me as a new patient as there was “nothing” they could do to help and didn’t have time to see me. I was very impressed with the kindness of the staff, from the Front Desk Representative all the way to check out. Dr Mainardi discussed all of my options and we came up with a game plan that both he and I were comfortable with. His assistant was super sweet and very personable. I would recommend anyone to go to this practice!"
"Dr. Fonseca has been very helpful. My last doctor diagnosed me with fibro and didn't do anything further. Dr. Fonseca has ordered various tests and identified an autoimmune disorder I didn't know I had. He's patient and kind and takes the time to listen to me and tries to understand. His medical assistant, Tonka is one of the kindest nurses I've ever encountered. I'd highly recommend them - they truly care about their patients."
