"These people took me under their wing when I was pregnant, already a single mom of one. I was living with my man at the time. He was deployed and I was all alone with one son and pregnant with another son. This church was there for me when I had no one. They became family to me. Helped me get my five year old into their Christian Academy. I had no vehicle so a wonderful lady came and got my son and brought him home safely to me everyday. Me and the man I was living with ended up getting married in this church. All of my memories of this church and the people there are so dear to me. They bent over backwards to be there for my family and I. I will never forget anything they did. I still love them. I'm writing this from Kansas. Pastor Grimes and his wife are wonderful Godly people. Even if you aren't living right in their opinion they still love you and help you get it right. I miss you all Lani Bourke."
"Had gone there for the celebration of life for a very dear friend"s mother."
"This will be my honest review. I used to attend church for years before I entered my twenties. I went to the school here as well. I have to say going to the school is part of the reason I left my faith, that and doing my own research. I find that most churches have the intent of reaching an audience that will listen, but be wary of hypocrisy and unjust judgment. If you’re looking for an accepting church home or just a place to touch the waters a bit to decide what faith your most interested in, this probably isn’t the place to start. Maybe come later when you’ve established some sort of foundation for yourself. What I found is growing up in and around people who use what they think is love to vocally deny the same fair equalness to LGBT+ individuals, women, and other religions under the assumption their religion is the correct one (albeit all religions do this), is that often times than not, these “believers” have more skeletons than the rest of us. I believe in allowing everyone to believe what they want but to also be allowed to be true to themselves without damnation of the opinion of a religion or populous of people. And if you are someone who supports LGBT or is LGBT, supports women’s reproductive rights or maybe are not a super strict believer, this isn’t the place for you. We need to move away from the idea that God is a being who sees eternal torment as a plausible and acceptable means of avenue for not believing and then calling it love. It’s not, it’s extortion. Believe what you may and to each their own, but understand in my experience, hypocrisy and judgment is writhing in the churches and schools, as it was in my experience."
"Very welcoming church with friendly members and staff. The building was clean inside and out, and it had hand sanitizing stations in common areas. Most importantly, the preaching was spot on. I have been touched, blessed, and/or convicted by every sermon so far. They have outreach ministries, including Addiction Restoration, Juvenile Detention, Nursing Home, and many more. Northview Baptist Church has handicap and visitor parking. It also live streams its sermons on Youtube."
"This has been my home church for nearly 20 years, and I have greatly enjoyed the timeless wisdom, sacrificial love, and timely encouragement I have received from the congregation and from Pastor and Mrs. Brookes Grimes! I would highly recommend this church to anyone in search of a warm, friendly home of worship and service. Childcare is available for every service, and there is a fairly even distribution of ages within the congregation itself. It has special ministry opportunities including a bus ministry, nursing home outreach, soulwinning, military servicemen outreach, music ministry, and more! I am so proud to call this church my Home Away from Home!!"
