"I went to this salon based off google reviews and I was sooooo hesitant because the last salon I went to butchered my hair. Bookie did my goddess braids and they came out BEAUTIFUL. Lisa was super helpful as well and very polite. I loved that I didn’t walk out with my hair braided so tight that it pulls my eyebrows. Will be returning soon."

"Hairstyle came out nice but for the life of me my stylist braided my hair too tight. I kept telling her to ease up. Her excuse was my hair was short and she needed to get a good grip. My hair wasn’t short like that and I could understand the edges needing to be a little tighter to keep it neat looking. I’m not a tender headed woman. I’ve gotten numerous braided styles in the past and have never gotten so sick after a braided style. I got a serious headache, was so nauseous by the time I got home and felt like I wanted to vomit. It was horrendous!!! It kept me from going out that night which I had planned. I was home googling different ways to loosen up a too tight braided style. I expect a little discomfort for the first day but this was extreme. Plus the owner Lisa had the nerve to ketch an attitude with me when I wanted my style done a certain way because the stylist didn’t do it right the first time she had to come correct it. Nothing major. Just a little burning the tip to make it a little shorter. I’ve since had one more braided style done by someone else and it went fine. Bottom line, that would be my first and last time there. Note: This happened around last year February, just only getting to leave this review now."

This was my first time getting braids and I didn't want to come out of the salon with a headache from pain- I didn't! Lisa and Maclean were gentle on my scalp, but still did my braids perfect! "Great place to get your hair done on Staten Island. The ladies are professional and their work is high quality. I got my Senegalese twists done few weeks ago and it still looks very good. They are fast and affordable. And the salon is huge and relaxing. I recommend to my friends and they all come back to thank me."
