"I love this beauty parlor but I went around the holidays and I was over charged for a wash and set. Usually I pay no more than $40. It was a wash and set and I bought my own deep conditioner. I was charged $60. I always tip and feel they were over charging because of the holidays."
"I went there to get a relaxer done and I also bought my own relaxer kit the person forgot to put in conditioner in my hair the whole time and my hair turned a different color and the person who did my hair had no regards for my feelings that my hair had changed a different color that was the worst relaxer did I ever had and I never went back ever again I refuse to give money to people who do terrible job and doing your hair I don't care cuz I left out of there in tears"
"No one in that salon speaks English And the wait takes forever They aren’t really busy The products they used are cheap And I had a lady there trimmed my hair and I only wanted the ends cut and she cut off like 3 inches. I do not recommend anyone go here."
"Absolutely destroyed my beautiful natural hair by sneaking in chemicals during the deep condition. My hair fell out in clumps and smelled like chemicals for months until I gave up trying to restore it with treatments and cut it all off. Makes me feel sick to even walk by there. There was absolutely no need to put chemicals in my hair. Sharing this to prevent others from having the same experience."
"NATURAL HAIR BLACK WOMEN... STAY AWAY! I have been natural for 3 years. My fro was strong. I used no chemicals, regular avocado/honey deep conditions at home. Very particular about what i do with my hair. I straightened my hair once a year as a treat to myself. I went here in Dec right before Christmas '16. The older lady was next to take a customer. As she danced around the salon she called me to the back. I was thinking oh she is in a good mood. This should be fun. She washes my hair and asks if i want deep condition. I was say yes... who turns down conditioning? She brings out a plastic cup puts the creme on my head and rubs it on my edges... to get them good and conditioned? It had no odor... I checked bc I have heard horror stories. Then we sit down at the chair after the conditoner gets rinsed out. She towel drys my amazing fro. Too much water mami... she says. She begins to section my hair to blow dry. I say you aren't going to roll it? She says no mami... your hair is not for rolling. Mind you I've been doing this for 3 years. We discuss, she gets someone else who speaks clearer english to convince me that rolling is too much heat. I leave out my hair is bone straight. But 2 weeks later, my hair is still straight. I wash it thinking I would do a wash a go until Christmas Eve when I would give myself a twist out or something. NO! Now we are into January and my hair is still straight. No curls, falling out in clumps. I dont know if there were some chems put in my hair that I didn't know about or what. But my beautiful curls are gone. I will never go back and I suggest you do not go here either. Clearly they do not see beauty in Black women's hair... which is disgusting seeing the population of the neighborhood they work in is largely African American/Caribbean demographics."
