Ginger's Going Green Pet Spa

"I took my 6 year old Golden Retriever to Ginger and am so blown away. She did a fantastic job at a very reasonable price! Very knowledgeable about what kind of trim a golden needs. One thing that stood out to me was how she spoke to my dog. Most groomers I’ve been to barely pay any mind to the dog. I’m one of those crazy pet parents that feels like I’m leaving my child so watching her with my dog put me at ease. We will be returning often and soon!"

"My issue is not with the grooming. It's concerning a pattern of snide or rude remarks made by staff. They seem to take real issue if you're there early to try and pick your pup up but on the same token only give you 5 minutes notice to pick them up. For reference, I went in at 4:00 to see if by chance my dog was ready. Was told very snidely that "well this isn't the agreed upon time." I thought, ok fine. I will be back later, no problem for me, although she was clearly snide and sarcastic with me. Then I get a text at 4:54 saying she's ready to be picked up and they need to leave at 5:00?!? News flash: with traffic in Porters Neck you can't get anywhere in 5 minutes! If you close at 5:00 Please Please update your Facebook page to say you close at 5:00, not the 5:30 that is listed!! I tried earlier to text and give options as I work full time and am not able to drop everything and be there at a moment's notice. I had even texted the day before saying it would likely be close to 5:30 before I could pick up (which was mutually agreed upon). Yet I was still made to feel horrible that I picked her up after 5:00...5:12 to be exact! This to me is just unacceptable. Not all of us are retired or stay at home moms or dads. If you are then this business may work for you. I, however, will not take my pup back. I work super hard and juggle a lot of balls so being spoken down to by someone I'm paying to provide a service doesn't sit well with me. Kindness and Courtesy still count in my book! For reference this is first review I've ever written so for me to do this tells you how disappointing my treatment was."
