"Should be zero"
"Not impressed w/Dr. Vu's human qualities. My mother is 80yrs old, has a heart condition and serious infection that she was sent to the hospital for, had to wait 4 weeks for a follow-up appt and the day of the appt, the building's elevator was broken/not functioning. My 80yro mother had to walk 2 flights of stairs to get to Dr. Vu's office and she declined to see my mother due to their 15 min policy. She was not willing to squeeze her in or make a policy exception due their building's dysfunctional elevator which was not my mother's fault. We were told it would be another 4-6 weeks while my mother has a serious infection. Make sure you arrive 30 minutes early to account for the building's faulty elevator. UPDATE: My mother died waiting to be seen. The hospital she was transported to suspected she had cancer and a very serious infection. I don't appreciate Dr. Vu's insensitivity that day or her insensitivity with her response now. Every staff member as the assisted living facility my mother was at was livid about Dr. Vu's treatment of my mother because she should have been seen that day. It was Dr. Vu that made the decision not to see her...not management. Sometimes we have to react out of our humanity rather than 'policy'. Shame on you."
"I met Dr. Vu this afternoon at the wakemed briar creek location. The office was extremely quiet, relaxed and clean. I loved meeting Monica who answered all my questions and made me feel very comfortable. Dr. Vu herself was extremely welcoming, sweet, and gave me a lot of great info while also being thorough with my medical history. She was very personable, and even laughed at my nervous jokes. I really appreciated her time, and the staff in this office. A routine visit for a physical became a very warm and comfortable environment vs a standard doctors visit. I greatly appreciate how her personality showed while also being extremely professional and considerate. Pleasure meeting all of you today! Thank you!"
"If I could give 0 I would. Was not impressed what so ever with Dr.Vu i went in today for my 13 week apt . She was first late coming in . I was seen by her for not even 2 mins . I was promised pictures of my ultrasound and when I Asked her she goes “ I’m not good at those.” For her being a dr she shouldn’t have any reason to be doing ultrasounds if she doesn’t know what she’s doing. She has horrible bed side manners my bp was also up and I tried expressing my concerns and her response was take a baby aspirin. Didn’t give me explanation on why it was high along with why I have been getting notifications from my Apple Watch that my heart rate was also high . I will NOT be seeing her again!"
"Singlehandedly the reason I will not return to wake med hospital. Non transparent, doesn't take patient concerns seriously or explain issues properly. After telling her I'd been diagnosed with PCOS and infertility with a recent ultrasound showing multiple cysts, she said *pinching her fingers together* "What, like tiny little *mimmicks pinprick with fingers* *throws hands up in air*" No further explanation, which was odd because I was hoping she would tell me more. She told me that my diagnosis of PCOS was incorrect because I don't have obnoxious facial hair or acne, but that she would run blood tests "if it would make me feel better, she 'guessed'" (my diet is grain free and I've been eating a PCOS strict diet for years, of course some symptoms have gone away, but I wasn't given the chance to explain that). If you're like me, and struggling to get doctors to listen to you and take you seriously with hormone disorders, DO NOT VISIT THIS DOCTOR. I was shamed for leaving the office in tears after crying and saying while still in the office (not in front of patients) "I waited six months for this appointment I'm so disappointed" apparently too loudly for them to appreciate, I was chased out of the office by a woman (after I had already left) in this staff that told me that I "couldn't be hysterical in front of patients" first of all lady, where do you think the word "hysterical" came from? You work in a gynecology department, with people with hormone disorders, and I was not in front of any patients, all I was trying to do was leave. She continued to try to berate me while I cried in the hallway until my husband got between us and said "this isn't helping" and directed me to the parking lot. I was subsequently billed $100 for a pregnancy test for my infertility issues. Because that makes sense."
