The North Carolina Youth Ballet Company, located in Gastonia, North Carolina, is a premier institution dedicated to cultivating young artists through dance training, positive values, and confidence-building. The company, part of Le Croix Academy for the Performing Arts, offers a world-class program that welcomes dancers of all backgrounds and shapes.

With a focus on ballet, modern, jazz, tap, and lyrical styles, the company also incorporates style fusions to challenge and develop artistic abilities. Clean and age-appropriate music and modest, stylish costumes are emphasized in performances.

Through performances and community outreach, company members learn valuable skills such as teamwork, leadership, focus, determination, and self-esteem. The emphasis is on the art form itself, rather than on trophies or medals, fostering a passion for dance and artistic expression.

Rehearsing once per week with additional rehearsals as needed, company members are required to attend a minimum of two classes per week in ballet, as well as classes in other styles they are cast in. Additional classes in acrobatics, acting, TLC (Turns, Leaps, and Conditioning), and hip hop are also offered.

Entrance into the company is by audition or invitation only, ensuring a high level of dedication and commitment from its members.
