Traditions at Fort Mill

"We moved here in October 2023 from AZ. We found Traditions online and, based on the reviews, it sounded like Shangri-La. The office staff has been super friendly and responsive and the property has very nice amenities. However, the downside is our neighbors and the thin walls and floors. The neighbor beside us has two dogs that constantly bark and turns the tv volume up so loud you can clearly hear it through the wall. The upstairs neighbor is constantly clomping around with heavy feet, allowing the cabinet doors to slam, dropping things on the floor, dragging/rolling things across the floor that goes on all day. It really takes the shine off what would otherwise be a wonderful place to live. Review update January 2024: After multiple complaints to management about noise from disrespectful neighbors and unsatisfactory response to our complaints, I’ll chalk this experience up to lessons learned about doing better due diligence before choosing a place to live."

"I ABSOLUTELY, POSITIVELY HATE THIS PLACE. I'm being harassed EVERYDAY and I feel that it is being done intentionally. I've emailed the management of the complex and I have even contacted the police. After that, the gentleman is still harassing me. I get the bulk of the harassment, and because I work from home, I hear it all day, from early in the morning to late in the evening. My husband doesn't get it as much as I do. Although, I'm not for certain, I believe that he's doing this because I'm African American. My husband is Caucasion. Just like he does, we pay rent here too. I have NEVER, in my life, been treated as bad as this man is treating me. I wouldn't wish this treatment on my worse enemy. I have lived in several places in my adult life, and this is the worst experience that I have ever had, in my life and this is a 55 and older community. The man is in his 80's and I'm 56. At first, I engaged in this game he is playing, but I stopped, hoping ignoring him would ultimately make him stop; it didn't. Because, he is continuing to act this way, after management and the police talked to him, I'm sure he probably has acted this way before and got away with it. Because I have NEVER been treated this way before, it saddens me to think that there are people in the world with so much hatred in their hearts, that they think it's okay to act this way towards others. Again, this is what is going on with me. Unfortunately, people can't choose their neighbors, but people can choose to show respect towards their neighbors, even if they don't like them. I initially gave this complex a 3 star on my 1st review, then updated it to 5 stars. After living here for 3 months, I completely deleted my past reviews, based on what's going on now. I advise anyone who wants to live here, to make your own choice, of whether you want to live here. I'm only speaking on the experience I am having."

"We enjoy every aspect of living at Traditions. It truly feels like a safe home for us. Our apartment is modern and bright with large windows and a small balcony to enjoy in spring and summer. Management here is friendly and responsive with great maintenance and cleaning crews. The area is attractively landscaped with a lovely walking path, and the community is pet friendly. You would do well to consider Traditions as your home."

"In the last seven years, I've done a 2-story, 1970s era complex in PA, 3rd floor and supposedly safe block-style community in Lake Wylie, and even tried a townhome in Rock Hill. NOTHING and NOWHERE compares to Traditions at Fort Mill. As with anything important in life, it starts at the top -- if the staff aren't leading from the front, even the Garden of Eden would look shabby. The folks here at Traditions at Fort Mill are the best at what they do, and I speak from 26 years military and 20 years retired. From the very first day, they're looking after you, and they never, EVER tire. The apartments speak for themselves -- sane layout, high quality materials and professional fit and finish. The amenities are here, to be sure: salt-water outdoor pool, BBQ pavilion, Bark Park, spacious workout rooms, sitting areas with a gas fireplace, TWO elevators, indoor mail delivery, valet garbage pickup outside your door...but it's all done so well that even a hermit like me can just lay back and go: ahhhh. Finally, the peace and quiet those of us 55+ worked so hard all our lives to enjoy. No loud stereos inside or out, no loud road-noise--it's about as perfect as I can imagine "golden years" to be. If you want civilization, its only 2 miles north or 2 miles south on I-77; take your pick. Shopping, food, whatever; its all there. My only regret is that I didn't move here sooner."

"I moved to SC from Delaware in 2019, and after much searching for a place to live, I came across Traditions at Fort Mill, while out driving. I decided to stop in and see them, and I was very impressed with the apartments, the many amenities that they offer, great outdoor saltwater pool. The staff, including the office workers, maintenance men and even the house keepers are friendly, yet professional. I'm now in my 3rd year here, and I highly recommend this wonderful 55 plus senior apartment community, to anyone looking for a wonderful community to live in."
