Reviews
"I once volunteered there until getting hurt. My supervisor was VERY friendly and helpful to take care of me. The other people were VERY polite, caring and friendly."
"The staff is just wonderful. Choosing a rescue dog is hard because they all want to go home with you. I chose a beautiful Pit Bull mix named Blade. He is so adorable and a fast learner. I will return for the next pup."
"We live in Jackson County, so have to drive the extra 30 minutes to this rescue service, and 4 years ago had an amazing experience here. It was small, not fancy, and the staff were kind and helpful. Yesterday, after unfortunately losing one of our dogs, a few weeks ago, this was one of our first stops to find a new best friend. We called to find the hours, and were told they were open at 1:00PM. We arrived at 1:30, to find a woman from the front desk waving us down. They were short-staffed that day, she said, so opening at 2:00. No problem, we said, and we waited in the car. At 2:00, the actual person in charge saw us, took pity on us, and told us the place was actually closed for the day, no exceptions. He did not acknowledge the existence of the woman we spoke to. He was VERY busy, but when he saw I was upset, he offered to let us in for a few minutes. We declined, and thanked him, but won’t be back again. I thank this man for his kindness. I don’t know the name of either person, but the lady should have notified us. The place presented as inept, unprepared, and completely lacking in communication. This is a rural area, and I appreciate people’s service for animals in such an underserved district. But I did not find this acceptable."
"Although they are a kill-shelter, this is not the employees’ fault, they are trying their best to help these animals. They are all very sweet individuals and if you are reading these reviews considering adopting a pet, please stop here first and come see these animals. The ladies at the front desk are so sweet and helpful."
