"My husband and I got our CWPs here and it was a great class!!!! We went at two separate times to Kelly’s class, which was great!! Great educator! And worked with Vince and other instructors on the range. All so so good! Everyone there was personable, very helpful, and very well educated themselves! Even the lady at the counter was the sweetest! 15/10 recommend! We will be going back for other classes and range shooting!"
"John McCarter recently posted prices are reasonable. How is this possible when the same exact ammo here is 30 dollars MORE than at Palmetto just up the road in Denver, NC? Lay off that whacky weed, bro."
"I have been a competitive shooter for several years and this range needs work. Honestly, not clean, ventilation nearly works, no parking, have to use their paper targets, trolleys didn’t work well, and most of the employees had attitudes when I asked about a firearm. Probably won’t waste my money here again."
"Great store. I have visited there for years. And will continue to. The staff is very friendly and prices are reasonable especially if you live in the area instead of driveing to another bigger box store that just wants you to get your stuff and get out. I read a more recent review that a guy was talking about the range and the employees in a negative way. And about the rate of fire rules. Well guy who ever you are... there are signs posted where you make your range rental. You are told about the rate of fire and there are 16 signs on the way to the range and posted in the stalls, at eye level!!!! So there is no excuse for your negative remarks and rude behavior to thoes good people. Seems like you just never learned to follow direction. And also anyone there with common sense is allowed to be an RSO I'm glad I was not there that day trying to practice beside you. Smh"
"Worst gun range I have ever visited... ever - hands down, period. Do not waste your money. Replying to Mr. Wisher: Ahhh! I see I got your attention. A customer has a bad experience – it must be the customer. I’ve been waiting for your response, Mr. Blair Wisher, and it is exactly what I expected from a poorly run facility with poor leadership. Not only is your poor leadership reflected in how you respond to customers, it is also reflected in the poor behavior of your employees. Do not worry, Mr. Wisher, I will never return to your substandard and unsafe gun range. My apologies, I should have been more clear. Let’s review why I said this is the worst gun range I have ever visited. Upon entering the facility, I informed the cashier that I was interested in a membership. The cashier proceeded to say, “yeah, you do not want to shoot here” and proceeded to tell me everything that was wrong with the gun range -- ventilation is poor, it’s dark, its hot, equipment malfunctions, and when it rains stuff stops working. She recommended that I shoot first then decide on the membership, which I agreed. She never checked my gun or my ammo, which is one of your rules. Consider speed limits – when we drive our vehicles, you and everybody else will drive 5 to 10 miles an hour over the speed limit (some more than that). Everyone has been for a very long time, in every state and every city, and will never get pulled over. It is the norm. Until you come across that one small town with that one Sheriff that unleashes his deputies on people doing what they thought was acceptable. Shooting is similar, experienced shooters go to the range to work on and improve their skills, which includes firing the weapon, quickly regaining the site picture, and firing again. This is a skill that people work on and a skill that must be attained if you intend to conceal carry, someday your life may depend on this skill. We depend on gun ranges to improve our skills, we have to – we have no other option. Experienced shooters have a higher speed limit, which is perfectly safe. 1 to 2 rounds per second is not rapid fire. Shooting at a quick pace, a little faster than your speed limit is normal and safe, just like driving 5 – 10 over the speed limit. No matter how hard I try, I will not be able to stay within your speed limit. Now, let’s discuss the unprofessional and unsafe behavior of your range safety officers. Your range safety officer approached me in a very aggressive and threatening manner. That is ok, but the problem is I had a loaded gun in my hand with a round chambered. At no point in time during either encounter did your safety officers make sure the range and my lane were safe to enter. They did not ensure that my gun was unloaded, magazine out, slide locked to the rear and ejection point facing up. While your range officer was harassing me, I was trying to listen while keeping a loaded gun in my hand pointed in a safe direction. This is absolutely unacceptable, Mr. Wisher. You like to talk about safety, but there is nothing safe about your range. My guns were not checked at the counter and my ammo was not checked. I could have brought anything in there, anyone could bring anything in there. Your range officers wear street clothes and are not recognizable as safety officers, and their behavior is the most unsafe I have ever seen on a gun range. The only thing you seemed to be concerned about is the speed limit. My hope is that this message reaches experienced shooters, and as a result decide to pass on Sportsman Inc. I chose your range because I was looking for an indoor option and the prices are the lowest around. You get what you pay for."
