"The manager there now is pretty rude, answers the door finally!! after coming 3 other days when she wasn't in the office or closed early. No handshake, no introduction, no smile & was annoyed that I rang the bell more than once also didn't bring all my info cuz I just wanted to tour an available apartment she was very mean & I was told I must present my ss# card etc before I could look at what's available?? Like really? Lady should be fired or taught professionalism"

"I had heard horror stories about the old manager and was doubtful about trying to rent from GTL. However, the current manager, Stephanie, has been a joy to work with. She made the whole process easy and always answered the phone during office hours. Best of all, she was very patient with a panicky couple who had to move on short notice. All in all, it's been a wonderful experience so far!"

"Me and my wife had been in communication with the Globe Tobacco Lofts in Mount Airy, NC for the last week. We were told to download the application that was sent to us, and to fill it out and then come by the Leasing office. We were also told that there were two Loft apartments that would be available June 15th. So, we went by the Globe Tobacco Lofts today and received the absolute worst customer experience of our lives. The lady at the leasing office was rude, sarcastic, disrespectful, and denied telling us that there would be apartments available June 15th. If you're looking for an apartment or Loft apartment then stay far away from Globe Tobacco Lofts because they are absolutely horrible."

"I never lived here, so my review is on the lack of service rather than the apartments themselves. I reached out to both the Globe Tobacco Lofts or their owner company SIX times to ask if there were any vacancies. I had fully planned on viewing an apartment and leasing it the next day. After leaving SIX messages over two weeks, I never received even an acknowledgement. At least call and tell me that there were no vacancies, but nothing. I was shocked by the lack of professional courtesy."

"Over the course of a year, Globe Tobacco Lofts met and in some ways exceeded our expectations. From day one, the Community Manager, Dawna went above and beyond to ensure my family was taken care of. While we lived there, she was available to answer any questions and always responded promptly and respectfully to any requests. Additionally, the building's Maintenance Supervisor, Steve was prompt and reliable if any issues presented themselves (this included an 11pm visit to our apartment to fix a faulty smoke detector!). The building is charming. Each unit is unique, VERY spacious, and the building's proximity to downtown, parks, and the library made living there all the more enjoyable. The only challenge to living here for us was the noise level. Street noise and interior noise could at times be a bit much but given that the building is historic and the location is near downtown, a certain level of noise should be expected. We had an overall wonderful experience living here and would recomend GTL to anyone looking for a unique living experience."
