"Your presentation was good, but at the time we just know that we would not use it! We do wish you the best and your sales force were good and polite. Keep up the good work and you will do well! Sincerely Alan = Jolene"
"I had an opportunity to come in to the office to learn about the different options a person can have to become a troa member and it (to my astonishment) was performed beautifully! After having reviewed some of what is offered I was so excited to be a part of it, I caught myself interrupting a few times to also share my travel experiences. They were very accommodating and I couldn't leave a better review. Excellent job! I'm looking forward to working more-so together on future endeavors."
"We had a great experience at Sycamore Lodge. The promotional free stay came with a membership tour that we were unprepared for and ran a little long. I also wish there would have been read ahead items prior to our stay because the stay is a decision point to join or not, so we chose not to because we were blind sided by having to make a on the spot decision. Again, we had a great experience however, they are going to have trouble convincing people in my generation to be prone to that kind of sales pitch."
"Stopped by the Travel Resorts of America booth at the Hershey RV show. We didn't quite understand what the membership was all about and thought it was a great opportunity to experience the campground for future stays. 3 days, 4 nights for free. Our email reservation confirmation came 3 days before our stay and was not correct, they had us at the wrong campground, 2 days, 3 nights and the reserved site was not a full hook up. It's a 12-hour drive for us in the RV with 4 dogs and we felt 3 nights was not worth the drive, all of which was promised to us when we signed up. Not a great first impression. After about 6 calls a little minor haggling, it was corrected, and we left the following day for NC. We decided that we had already taken the time off and that we would go with an open mind and check the place out. When we arrived, we were impressed by how nice it was. They gave us a pull through site for our 40-foot motorhome that also has three slides. We had plenty of room to set up and spread out. All the connections were very close to the connections on our rig. The site was easy to level the rig on and well maintained. The campground and staff were fabulous. The tour of Sycamore Lodge resort was great, and they definitely have a lot to offer anyone staying. JUST ONE HITCH, you can only stay there if you are a member or a guest of a member. We are not retired and felt that the timing for us to purchase the membership and then pay the additional maintenance fees each year would not be cost beneficial for us at this time. They offered three different options, and unless we stayed at their resorts during the only vacation time we had, we felt we would not have enough time to take advantage of the package. Great opportunity for full timers or retired with the time to be on the road for 4 to 6 months of the year. If you know someone who is a member, you should look into being their guest for an RV site or to rent a cabin. If it was open to the public, we would certainty go back and recommend it to others. If you are a member, you can only stay for two weeks and then you must move out for a week or two and then you can come back and stay another two weeks. While we were there in November it looked like a few of those campers had been there more than two weeks. I'm guessing it depends on how booked they are, as they are supposed to be open year-round."
"We spent the $40 at at RV show to check out a location for a weekend for free with the understanding that we would then listen to a pitch to buy a membership and then receive 21 free days that could be used at any of their locations. We went to the Gettysburg location for the weekend and were very impressed! The campground was huge, very well-kept, lots to do, the workers were very friendly and made our free stay so nice! They even gave us free firewood and stuff to make smores for the weekend. The sales pitch/tour of the grounds was surprisingly very pleasant as well. It did actually have us considering a membership which we initially thought we wouldn't want. We still decided no just given our situation with our child but will likely consider a membership when he's grown. They took our 'no' very well and didn't push or pressure. We received our 21 free days after and are excited to use them! We also got our $40 back as promised. They definitely followed through on all their promises!"
