"Costco gas in Matthews is one of the most well maintained and cleanest I've been to. They are so friendly and helpful when needing assistance. It does get crazy there, so if you want gas on a weekend or a holiday week, expect to be in a line. However, the lines are well organized, and the attendants make it really efficient. I've never had a bad experience pumping gas at Costco. But be aware you do need a Costco membership to buy gas and, just like in the store, they only take VISA credit and all debits."

"As Costco loyalists, we frequent Costco gas stations. It's typically at least 10-20 cents cheaper than others around it. This isn't our normal Costco, but when we're in the area we'll stop here. If you come during prime time (weekends around lunch/afternoons), there will be really long lines. It's well organized though. Traffic can only go one way. Their hoses stretch so you can pull up to either side of the pump. I wish you didn't have to drive through the Costco parking lot to get to the gas station though. If the lines are long and you're with someone else, consider having them go in and start shopping while you wait for gas. If you don't go on the weekend later in the day, it won't be crowded though. They're also open earlier/later than the warehouse is."

"Clean and very well maintained gas station. Offers regular gas (87 octane), premium gas (93 octane) as well as diesel. Haven’t had any issues with their quality of gasoline. They usually have all pumps functioning. Costco consistently has the lowest priced gasoline in the area per my observation."

"Great prices and location, right next to my neighborhood Costco! The gas attendants are always friendly and welcoming. Super helpful whenever I've needed an extra hand at the pump. My go-to location for gas. The lines for the pumps can get pretty backed up during the weekends, and are nearly nonexistent on weekdays."
