"Stopped by this place about a week ago to get smoothies for myself and some friends. Workers were quite friendly, storefront was clean and nice. Smoothies were very good tasting and seem to be quite reasonably priced for the amount that you get. My issue lies in that whatever ingredients are used in the smoothies to keep them low-calorie but also tasting delicious have some serious inflammatory and irritating properties. I have Crohn’s disease and it precipitated approximately two days of watery diarrhea and stomach cramping. Friends who have had the shakes have had a mixed bag of how they have reacted to the smoothies, some are fine, others are also experiencing gastrointestinal upset. I have smoothies at many places around town including body fuel and make smoothies at home and have never had this issue. Whatever ingredients are in the smoothies are very processed and full of chemicals and cause some pretty horrendous side effects. I will definitely never return, huge warning for anyone who does have bowel concerns at baseline, stay far away, you will very much so regret it."
