Pool And View Mansion

"We just stayed from September 29-oct 3. I booked this specific cabin for the indoor heated pool for my grandchildren, as well as other amenities such as the pool table, air hockey and dart board. Weather called for rain the whole time. Upon our arrival the pool was ice cold. I called immediately and was told someone would be out the next day. They were unable to fix it, so we had no pool for the entire time. The air hockey table only had one paddle (so not usable) the dart board had no darts(not usable) when I spoke to them again the next day, I suggested changing the name of the cabin to "No pool and a view of the trash". The entire grounds surrounding the cabin looked like a rave took place with so much garbage. The bathrooms were not cleaned and we had to scrub toilets ourselves and apparently there is no wifi at this cabin. Overall for the money we spent this was a definite disappointment. We will never use cabins usa again nor recommend it for anyone else to use."

"The cabin itself is decently nice. However, the name of the cabin is "pool and a view", so accordingly, one would expect that at the very least, there would be a functioning pool, as well as a nice view. When we arrived, the pool level was very low, and the hot tub was half full. We had to add water to the pool all night long and into the next day to raise the water up to the appropriate level. This obviously made the water very cold. Also, as long as the hose was running to fill the pool, there was next to zero water pressure in the rest of the cabin, making it impossible to take a shower. The pool heater would only work once the water level reached the skimmer, and to get it to that level, we had to add many gallons of cold water. So the pool was not able to be used for the first three days, as the pool also had a leak. So we would get the water to the appropriate level, then wait over night for the pool to heat, only to wake up the next morning to a pool that was now too low for the heater to function. It was a highly annoying cycle, but I finally figured out the issue on my own, and was able to juggle all these factors enough to finally get the pool to 80 degrees and the 4th day we were there. While 80 degrees was bearable for me, it was too cold for my wife and kids. I feel that this is unacceptable for a cabin with "pool" in its name, especially when the description says that you can "swim any day of the year." We expressed our great dissatisfaction to Cabins USA, and they offered us a $75 refund, which is an utter slap in the face when you spend $3,000 on a cabin that don't live up to its namesake."

"Although the seclusion and scenery was breath taking as the smokies always are, I am very disappointed in Cabins USA and this particular location. May family arrived on Friday 20 August 2021 to find things were not as advertised nor pictures. My in-laws paid good money for us all to have a family vacation. I arrived on Tuesday. My brother in-law and his family arrived Saturday 21 August 2021 after traveling 14+ hrs. There was black mold all through out the pool room area. Pool had a leak somewhere and would not stay full. Pool cover was just as bad with black mold. No pool skimmer. Movie theater had broken seats, remotes without batteries (many remotes with in the cabin were void of batteries), equipment was subpar and not maintained very well as well as missing a smoke detector. Fire extinguisher in kitchen was 3 years out of inspection/maintenance and was not charged. Dishwasher was in disrepair and not functioning. WI-FI box was missing and there was no wifi as originally advertised (personal note, I could careless but my city folk family and their children had a hard time adapting) Mountain View only possible from second floor balcony. Second floor railing loose and only held down with a few screws yet still wobbled making it unsafe. In-laws called and was told maintenance would be out and they never showed. I called myself to complain with no return phone call. This information will now be being turned over state and county clerks"

"Wonderful looking place on the website however it was NOT as advertised. My family and I traveled 8 hours from Pennsylvania with hopes of relaxing when we got there but we never got the chance to even unpack. The place was completely trashed when we arrived and stank heavily of marijuana. I have no issues with Med users but it is clearly stated there is to be no smoking inside the premises. There were cigarettes butts under the beds and all over the porch. The bed frames and couch are falling APART. The windows were covered in handprints. The bathrooms had used towels and washcloths on the floor. The theater was disgusting as the floors were covered with food and the chairs were falling apart. The A/C barely worked and the pool table was missing two balls. There were dirty dishes in the dishwasher. The jacuzzi looked like a dog was bathed in it. Very disappointing start to a very expensive vacation."

"When you book a stay at a location referred to as a 'mansion', certain key elements are expected. Namely honesty and integrity. Keep in mind, that our girls trip was planned weeks in advance, we all read the reviews regarding 'beg bugs' and the subsequent reply from 'management'. After much discussion and reassurances we decided to keep the reservation. It is an understatement to say we were disappointed. 1. There were bed bugs and wasps. 2. The dining room chairs were stained. We tried cleaning them, but it was useless. 3. The pillows and carpet were stained. Thankfully we brought our own linens and pillows, plus Lysol. 4. The tubs were stained. Thankfully we brought our own cleaning products as well. 5. One bedroom did not have a closet, instead there was a utility closet for the HVAC system and the door was broken off, making it very noisy 6. There were only 2 trash cans outside and no one ever emptied them during our stay, causing us to keep bags of garbage in the house. 7. The gas grill had an empty propane tank. When we called to have another brought to us, we were promised it would be delivered within the hour, it was more like 2. 8. Did I mention the bed bugs? When we called to report this problem we were told that the bug sniffing dogs would be brought in and management would be notified. The woman on the phone was pleasant enough and apologized for our experience. 9. The fridge was filthy. We cleaned it-you're welcome It needs to be noted that if you attempt to deliver a quality experience, you SHOULD provide a quality product. Attention to detail is paramount to quality. I feel short changed and unimpressed. My expectations were NOT met by a long shot. I was utterly disappointed. We should have been supplied with a clean house-void of stained chairs, pillows, carpet and fridge. The house should have been fumigated at the first report of bed bugs instead of relying another animal to detect what humans are reporting. The trash should have been emptied daily, especially when there are only 2 trash cans available and a large number of guests are expected. The propane tank should have been full to begin with or make sure we had access to one before our arrival. Reupholstering chairs is not hard, trust me. If you call it a mansion, treat it like one!"
