"From the clingsman dome trailhead, take the Forney ridge trail to get to Andrews bald. It is approx 1.8 miles one way. The views are spectacular (from the last time i went). Unfortunately, it was cloudy and foggy this time, we and couldn’t get any mountain views on this hike. This is not a crowded hike at all, but if you want to get parking, i advice get there early. "Nice and easy hike. Most hike you will climbed up going and climbed down coming back, on this hike, you will start with going down first until Andrew's Bald. Some portion is little steep but overall the trail is nice and shaded."
"Many creeks, make sure you're prepared. I hiked from here to campsite 69 not an easy trail, i'd say intermediate. I came back through the Appalacian Trail and it took me two days and two nights of walking 12 hours basically. Super intense because we ran out of water and food haha. Overall amazing experience"
