"This place was perfect for my weekend getaway! It is perfectly located for enjoying the trails and some good mountain air. The rooms have their own personalities. It definitely doesn't feel like a normal hotel. The staff was super friendly and accommodating, always available for what you may need. The in house bakery was a plus and didn't disappoint! I will definitely be staying there again when I go back to that area."

"My wife and I went during all the fall colors and it was absolutely beautiful. I played in a disc golf tournament at north cove leisure club which has 3 amazing courses, right across the creek from here. The owner of this amazing Inn helped us with dinner recommendations. Which I hear, there might be options here in the future. The cook for Breakfast does an excellent job with his pre planned meal, but yet can do some request as well. Very easy going crew, laid back, and all in all we had an amazing time. I will recommend this place to anybody who asks."

"This inn deserves more than 5 stars! The whole place is very clean, spacious and cozy. The private balcony and gas fire logs in the room were a great bonus. Melanie consistently went above and beyond to make our stay really special. She made us feel so welcome and comfortable, unlike any service you would get from an ordinary hotel. The breakfast both mornings was lovely, and the coffee was particularly good. We will absolutely come visit again the next time we are in the area. Can’t recommend enough!"

"Called Wed for a room on Saturday for my birthday and was not only fit in, but our room was upgraded to one with a King bed! From the minute I started texting Melanie about availability, to getting the reservation booked, she was unbelievably helpful and even offered suggestions on things to do and places to eat in the area. Needless to say I was very excited to stay at her Inn! Upon arrival, she made us feel feel like a friend and not a customer. Such hospitality is something you rarely come across these days. The room was beautiful and clean. The fireplace and balcony overlooking the stream and North Cove Disc Golf course set the room apart from any other "hotel" room that I've stayed in. I wish I had taken advantage of the fire pit down by the stream but I was so relaxed and comfortable on our balcony, in the rocking chairs that I didn't want to leave the room! Breakfast the next morning was nothing short of top notch and I'm glad we opted for the breakfast option. It was perfect fuel for playing the Disc Golf course that morning. To anyone reading this review and thinking about staying in this area... BOOK THE ROOM!! I had an amazing stay for my birthday and anytime I plan on visiting this section of NC I will be staying at Melanie's Inn. I wish nothing but success for everyone there!!
