"To sum up my review in 3 words. “DON’T USE THEM”. In February, I contacted Carolina Pool Builders to look at my pool equipment, which, in a nutshell, was sliding down the hill at my house. The owner, Mark came out with a coworker and looked over the work. A few days, later, I got an estimate. All good so far. From there, everything has been a train wreck. I have called or texted these people for the last 7 months without any progress whatsoever. The plethora of excuses would be comical if not for the fact that they just kept my pool from being fixed properly. Because of the issues I was having, the lights around my pool weren’t working and we couldn’t safely use our pool after dark for the entire summer. Even after explaining this to Mark several times, he never would come fix the problem. Just more excuses. What made it worse is the fact that he never called/texted me to give me an excuse update, he always let me chase him around. I understand that it is difficult to get some people to come to work, but Mark was really, really bad about communication. I remember one conversation I had with him in April, when after I expressed my displeasure with him, he said, “Sometimes I just need a good kick in the rear-end to get me going and that’s what you just gave me. I guarantee you I will get it fixed by the week of May 10th”. That was 4 months ago and still nothing. Again, in July, he promised to have his crew out there by the end of the month, and still nothing. I finally got tired of listening to his excuses and went to Pleasure Pools here in Hickory. The owner Greg couldn’t have been better to work with. Just 2 weeks after contacting Pleasure Pools, all the work was done. It looks and performs beautifully. Two more things. First, coincidently, I am having a lot of other work at my house (not pool related) done by a GC. After soliciting several bids and asking them about their experience with pool builders in the area was, I got consistently the same feedback from them about Carolina Pool Builders. Their communication was poor. Second, it does seem funny to me that the “reviews” section on Carolina Pools Builders page is “turned off”. Normally, businesses like to have their customers give reviews, but I guess not for Carolina Pool Builders. DON’T USE THEM"

"I've conducted business with these guys for over 28 years! They have always been upfront and honest with me. It's hard enough nowadays finding a reliable business to take care of your needs. They've never let me down. CPB recently installed my new pool liner. They did an excellent job. Kevin came out later and completed everything. Thanks to all!! You guys are awesome!! Wallace Cannon would be proud of these boys!!"

"Hailey has been an excellent pool associate. She has been very responsive and taken care of any requests or needs quickly. Our pool cleaner machine was broken for like 6 weeks, and when Hailey took over cleaning, our machine was returned to us within a week! Thank you Hailey!"

"We LOVE CPB!! Mark built our pool 9 years ago and we have been extremely happy. Any time I have needed anything, they have been there to help. Brianna is a bright spot at the store and always smiling! Stephen is on my speed dial and quick to help me when I call. They are all great to work with! But just remember that weather is in control of pool building so have realistic expectations when you plan a pool. ❤️"
