"Kiwanis Park is located in Hickory, NC. Our grand children live coming here! Featuring two picnic shelters with tables and grills, tennis court, outdoor basketball court, four lighted baseball fields, two batting cages, walking trail, restrooms, two concession stands, Charles D. Dixon Memorial Splash Pad, and two playgrounds, including the Zahra Baker All Children’s Playground and treehouse. The Zahra Baker All Children’s Playground and Treehouse at Kiwanis Park are popular destinations in Hickory’s park system with play space for people of all ages and abilities. In honor and memory of Zahra Baker, this playground provides amenities that are accommodating to individuals with disabilities, including wheelchair-accessible ramps and rides, multiple ground-level activities, educational and sensory elements, and inclusive play products."

"Great place for kids to play in water. Not many park slides or activity play outside the water unless you drive up the road. There is a basketball court and some softball fields."

"We brought the granddaughter to play after we celebrated her 9th birthday. It was our first visit. It is a beautiful sentiment and memorial to the young lady that lost her life so horrifically. There were so many families there with their young children, enjoying all the different playground equipment, which also included a tennis court and picnic area. We will definitely be back, and next time, take advantage of the water park located in the adjacent fenced area, which also includes multiple baseball fields."
