"These people are COMPLETE CROOKS! Rented a condo in Waynesville, NC and loved the property throughout the year. Unfortunately when it came time to move out and get my deposit back they basically stole $1200 from me. I took care of the place and even the owners of the property came to check in on the condo about a month before I moved out. I was told that the owners were "delighted" with how good their condo looked. Looking back, I realized that I never received any information about where my deposit was being held. I should have known something was up when they did bot provide this. Fast forward to the end of the lease, I was told that my deposit check would be mailed to me from Amy. A month goes by and still no check. Emailed several times and NO response so I finally had to call and wouldn't you know it nobody answers the phone! Then I get an email from Toyce telling me that the owners would not allow Sunburst Realty to give me back my deposit and that they needed to professionally clean the place because I smoked in the condo. I NEVER smoked inside the unit. First of all, the deposit should NEVER have been in control of the homeowner. Secondly, I am supposed to believe that it cost $1200 to professionally clean a small 2 bedroom apartment? I asked for a copy of the receipts showing that they did in fact use the deposit money for professional cleaning and of course they never sent me anything. Long story short, THESE PEOPLE ARE THIEVES!!! BE WARNED!"
