"I wanted some of my family to have a room to stay in while the weather was below 10 degrees at night during this current arctic blast5. My husband and I are Choice Diamond members and I booked the room with points and nowhere indicated to us that this location requires a deposit. I authorized the deposit anyway and they told me they refunded it but it was debited from my account. I have been calling and the front desk manager hangs up on me because I am upset it debited from my account anyway. I am reporting this to my bank as fraud. The front desk manager keeps telling me that they refunded it and it was pending in my account for 2 days before it definitely posted and debited the money. I don't care what their computer program says. I have called my bank and they see no incoming credits. The front desk manager said "maybe the bank took it and is going to put it back". No. That is not how it works. They stole 100 dollars from me until they actually refund it. It is 20 degrees outside with 8inches of snow where I currently am and I am having to drive to a walgreens to a printer to send my statements to them because Kimberly refuses to listen to what I am saying. I am not made of money to just let this go."
"Such a nice lodge and people. Their service is really good. I absolutely love the place. The view from the room was so lovely. I would definitely recommend this place and wish to come back again."
"Edited to add: Kimberly, my hotel was booked under my husband’s name. You respond to all negative reviews saying you have no record of their stay (We have different last names). It’s very common for a hotel room to be booked under one person’s name. The balcony not having a full partition means my dogs can’t be out there at all unless they’re on a leash. I included a photo of the dog park. We were told there was a dog park. A rusty item should be removed immediately from any decent hotel room. This hotel was awful. We were there for 1 night - why would we bring up all these complaints to the front desk? Just waste more of our time? This hotel doesn’t have any standards - That’s a complete joke. I don’t appreciate you attempting to invalidate my review by saying you have no record of us. You’re clearly deflecting in an attempt to keep business coming to this hotel. Why would I go out of my way to leave a review with specific details and a photo for a hotel I hadn’t stayed at? Assuming any bad review is fake is incredibly unprofessional and bad management. Also, your photos online are not an accurate representation of reality. Good luck - You most certainly need it. . . . I would give negative stars if possible. This hotel has a convenient location but that’s where the positives stop. The quality of the room was pretty horrendous. It felt like a hotel that would be featured on Dateline. The bathroom was basically in a closet, with the sink oddly positioned by the door. The luggage rack was totally rusty. The “comforter” on the bed was just a patterned sheet. All the lights are horribly bright fluorescents. It generally didn’t feel clean and certainly not kept up to date or even maintained to any type of standard. Even the key card holder was clearly used and looked well-worn. You couldn’t pay me to stay here again. It is dog friendly which is nice but clearly not well thought out. The balcony dividers between each room’s balcony don’t go all the way down to the floorboard so our dogs couldn’t even go out on the balcony. The dog park is one of the worst ones I’ve ever seen, like a total nightmare. Our stay overall was not comfortable or relaxing. It was also noisy and the walls are paper thin. Go anywhere else - Literally any other hotel. Run far, run fast."
"This was one of the best hotels I’ve stayed in throughout my travels. The room was very nice and clean, and there was a great view from the balcony of the gorgeous mountains and the town below. The staff was friendly and helpful. I highly recommend this hotel to anyone traveling through the area."
"Despite the name it was a wonderful hotel. Excellent service from the front desk and a very good breakfast as well. Each room has a balcony with breathtaking views of the smokies. Rooms were clean and comfortable. We had a very nasty neighbor but didn't really hinder our stay too much."
