"Their motto should be, "give me your money and go away". I spent almost $7,000 with them recently and this included two lamps. They 'forgot' to put them on the truck and delivered them two days later. One shade was considerably larger than the other, and they had two different finials - one brass, one black. Unfortunately, I did not take pictures in the store and could not prove they had been the same in the store but I began working with my salesperson, Kay, who kept telling me she was working with 'Corporate' to resolve the problem. After six weeks, she finally admitted she could not get the correct shades and, I quote from her text, "I am unable to get new shades, I will refund the cost of the shades if you would bring them back to the store". Since I am happy with the lamps this seemed to be the right resolution and good customer service. However, when I got there she told me she really meant 'lamps' when she texted me 'shades'. She said the shades had no value to her and she would not issue any refund. She offered once again to speak with 'Corporate', but said there was no one available today. I continued to remind her what the text said and she brought over a colleague named Ronnie. He was incredibly rude and flat out said, "I'm not refunding you anything. These are your lamps, your shades". No matter what Kay had texted me. What happened to customer service? Important to note - they initially invoiced me for two bookcases when I was buying only one. They quoted me, in person, one price for a bed but wrote it up for a higher price. Both were resolved but Buyer Beware! Take photos of everything, read every line item on your invoice and check your credit card bill to be sure it matches your invoice. They cannot be trusted. I second every other review here that says their customer service experience has been poor. I am suspicious of this whole liquidation sale stuff too. They are bringing in furniture from other places. They are not going out of business (although they should). Kay told me they are just moving and while they suggest they are a true local Carolina business but they're owned by some outfit in New York. These are just a few things to consider before you hand your credit card to them. Be very careful."
"Purchased a bedroom set. Arrived the head board and foot did not connect to the side rails. I worked with Juan to resolve the situation. I received the new set a couple of weeks ago. Juan Thank You the set is absolutely beautiful."
"I bought twenty pieces from Stickley. The Leopold chair came with serious design flaws and a broken leg. I've contacted the reseller as well as the local reseller. They refuse to do anything, and Stickley refuses to honor their limited lifetime warranty. The chair is obviously rife with design flaws from hand rests with sharp edges, a missing floor protector on one of the legs, and a split in the back right leg that is from one of the improperly placed upholstery tacks. There is no distress to any of the finish. It was a rush job. Stickley's claim, "Family owned and sustainably handcrafted in the USA for over 120 years." is nonsense. Much of the furniture is made in Viet Nam. I take nothing away from the Vietnamese. I lived in Viet Nam for two years. So why doesn't Stickley say, "Made proudly by skilled craftsmen in the US and Viet Nam."? I couldn't tell you. I still await Stickley's decision regarding this defective piece. Garrison's in Medford, OR sold me the piece. Evan, the salesman, was gracious, patient, and full of incredible ideas. Without his assistance I would not have purchased Stickley. Wagner's, my local Stickley dealer in Missoula, MT, tried to sell me $62,000 worth of floor samples. Stickley does not warranty floor samples. And, of course, I would not have been able to choose wood, finish, or leather. But I'm finding that even with a lifetime warranty that begins "when the furniture is delivered to your home" is an empty promise. The local dealer, Wagner's, is supposed to come to my home, examine the defects, and report to Stickley. The refused. Garrison's hands are tied because the local dealer is supposed to deal with defects. And Stickley has abandoned both Garrison's and I for reasons I cannot fathom. It's really subpar service and product support from a company that claims they produce furniture "family owned and sustainably handcrafted in the USA for over 120 years." And let me tell you: It's not cheap. I waited nine months for this? They still have a chance to make good: Replace the chair and pick up the defective one. It's Stickley's call. PS In the past I've purchased from Ethan Allen, Z Gallery, and Restoration Hardware. All have exceptional customer service. Suffice it to say, you have options. Don't be seduced by the Stickley story, and get screwed."
"We ordered a couch over 13 months ago and still have not received it. There has been no communication from the store and every update has been because we called for information. Just called again and was told "maybe mid-December (another month)." The associate would not confirm if our couch was even in production yet! When I asked to speak to a manager, I was told there was no manager on the premise that day because "no one works 7 days a week,", and there was no one at that level that I could speak to. The associate I spoke to was very condescending and seemed more interested in proving he could manage me than actually providing assistance. We are currently shopping for additional furniture, however, we will not be shopping at Stickley ever again!"
"Ordered our sectional in April of 2021. Here we are in December of 2021 with no sectional. We were informed that the sectional would be completed in 30 weeks. A long time but we were willing to wait 30 weeks from our April order date was Oct 31. We have never received a single call with an update unless we call in. Every time we call they give us the run around. My favorite was today when I was told that we are still on track for the 30 weeks - that ended in October….. we are in December. Not only do we get no answers, we have no clue if this will ever be completed, they were just fine taking our deposit but are less than willing to talk about how to get that back. Not only am I having this issue, my family members are as well. They ordered from them a month after us and have 0 updates I get supply chain issues but I would NEVER work with this company again or recommend them I am honestly at a point that I don’t even know that they actually manufacture/deliver furniture. I have no idea where my order is, when it will be here, or heck, what it even looks like anymore. It’s been too long. 0 out of 5 stars if that were an option."
