"My appt was scheduled for 1020, I arrived at 1010 and was told they had to reschedule bc I didn't arrive 30 min prior. The reminder email, which I presented to them, says nothing about arriving 30 early. I have been in pain for a month and my surgery was denied bc I would first have to go to PT and get a cortisone shot. Wake Pain and Spine does not care. If you have any other options go see someone else."

"I had good experiences here until I needed a referral for spinal surgery and was told it would be put through as urgent because of how bad it is. It's been two weeks and it still hasn't been sent to the surgeon's office. I was told I'd get a call Monday, so I left a voicemail Tuesday and it went unanswered. I called Wednesday and was told I'd get a call back that day. I called Thursday and was told the same thing. Friday I find out they close at 12:30. At this point I'm done with them and I'll be transferring my care elsewhere. I suggest anyone looking for care find a different office."

"Agree wholeheartedly with reviewer below Pieter. This practice is a nightmare with customer service and billing and their app that they force you to use in order to book appointments is the worst I have ever experienced. I was overcharged for my most recent appointment even though I showed my insurance card and that what they were asking for payment at the counter was more than my deductible and out of pocket for the year! She still said "tough that's what you have to pay today". I paid it only to find out later from my insurance company that they had overcharged me by $400! Not only that, they do not do the prior authorizations that they are supposed to before they book you for appointments for procedures so you end up having to fight insurance when things are denied. I still have hospitals coming after me because they did procedures after referrals from Wake Spine but the proper paperwork was never sent to them so their charges are getting denied as well! Forget trying to get an appointment because no one ever answers the phone. If it's very important or you have to cancel an appointment you will get routed to a call center for all of the Wake spines and that person has no knowledge and is little help. This whole practice needs to be retrained with customer service, billing, insurance and pretty much everything. I definitely will be going elsewhere. Strongly recommend you do too if you are considering this place to help your pain"
