WakeMed Urgent Care - Oberlin
About the Business
WakeMed Urgent Care - Oberlin is a health institution located at 601 Oberlin Road in Raleigh, North Carolina, United States. Our facility is currently along the route of the City of Raleigh's Oberlin Road Streetscape improvement project, which may result in sidewalk and wheelchair ramp closures on the street side of our building. However, access from the parking lot side should not be impacted. Please be prepared for potential traffic detours and one-lane roads with flag operators in the area.
Our urgent care center in Raleigh is conveniently situated near downtown and offers a wide range of services for patients aged 4 months and older. Our team includes board-certified physicians, physician assistants, and nurse practitioners with extensive experience in treating time-sensitive illnesses and injuries.
For your convenience, we offer the option of virtual visits with our providers from 8 am to 8 pm every day, allowing you to receive care from the comfort of your own home. We have been providing exceptional urgent care services to the community for over 15 years and are committed to delivering high-quality care to you and your family.
Please note that "On My Way" is not a scheduled appointment, but by informing us of your impending visit, we can better prepare for your arrival and potentially reduce your wait time. We strive to prioritize patients with the most urgent medical needs.
If you have questions about insurance coverage or need assistance in determining where to seek care, please don't hesitate to contact us. Thank you for your patience during the Streetscape improvement project, which is expected to be completed by Summer 2024.

"Horrible. Saw Christine Williams PA for a chronic sinus infection I’ve had since August (so over 4 months) and haven’t yet had a single doctor take me seriously. She told me to try Flonase and I told her I’ve used it consistently since the beginning. I’ve tried EVERY OTC known to man. She refuses to give me any steroid shot or any meds for that matter saying “it won’t do anything really and just upset your stomach.” Lady I can’t breathe !!! wasted my time and money and she didn’t listen to a single thing I said saying it was just a cold. NO Finally got in to see an ENT 3 days later and he put an endoscope down my nose and guess what? I have SEVERE adenoid hypertrophy from doctor’s submissing my chronic sinus problems as “just a cold.” I am potentially going to have to have surgery. Oh and wanna take a crack at what he prescribed me? STEROIDS This woman is borderline incompetent do not recommend"
"I am from out of state and developed symptoms of a rather intense ear infection. I went to urgent care as I felt it would be a faster approach to dealing with my issues than a visit to the ER. I was severely mistaken. I waited over two hours to be seen. Once I was taken to my exam room, the care I received was adequate. Flash forward a few hours and my ear drum has ruptured and is actively bleeding. Following instructions given to me earlier today, I called the care clinic and proceeded to wait on hold for 48 minutes. When I was finally responded to, the phone call lasted just long enough to tell me that the doctor was busy, and the clinic was closed. Of course it is. I can only hope that don't have to go to this facility at any time in the future. Side note. The PA did call me back after hours and talked me through things to try."
"I saw Sara Johnston at Urgent Care on Oberlin this morning. She was friendly, knowledgeable and thorough. I felt well cared for and confident that my diagnosed issue will resolve with the treatment she prescribed. Thank you, Sara!"
"Christmas Eve I received excellent service, kind, friendly staff, an efficient and friendly nurse and an attentive and helpful doctor. Everyone took time to listen and thoughtfully assessed my problem. The response was measured and very helpful. A+"
"I was just there recently to have a small piece of glass removed from my foot. One of the ladies at the front desk was very friendly, however, the female physician I saw (C.Glazer) was very cold, blunt and not very helpful…acted like she had somewhere else she’d rather be than there helping patients. I will likely not be returning because of the rude doc. Would not recommend, at least not her."
