"They don't call you to remind you of up coming appointments. There waiting list is Ridiculous my daughter had a appointment we had to reschedule because of weather. There next available day was APRIL it's January 15."
"On 1/10/24 I took my son to pick up his glasses. Theses are his first pair and we were told that they cant be mailed to us directly because they will need to make sure the fit is right and everything is correct. That makes perfect since seeing how my son is 4 and how down syndrome we want to make sure that they will fit his face and stay up on his nose... or so i thought.. The optical assistant (male) was xtremely unpleasant, down right rude. 1st off he seemed bothered that we were there. He had me put his glasses on he didn't even touch them once to see if they were sitting on his face right or try to move them around himself or even tighten up the head strap or show me how they should sit on his face. I was concerned that i might have to loose and to low on his nose (having down syndrome he doesn't have a nose bridge so nothing just stays on his face like normal) but when i asked about this i got an eye roll and he 1/2 answered my question. I was so frustrated that my son seemed to be such a bother to him mind you he was sitting in my lap excited about his bew glasses and waving to people in the office not acting up or anything. I just got our items and left. It was a worthless trip to Franklin and i could have done everything my self (like i did) at home if they were mailed to me. Some people dont need to work with the public or kids especially and this man is one of them. I will not step foot back into the franklin office. Now saying all of this we had a wonderful appointment with dr. Reighard in Ashville. She and her nurses were wonderful and kind. They took there time and made my sons eye dr experience wonderful."
"The optical assistant (male) is extremely unpleasant, I went to have my glasses corrected but this assistant did not do his job, it is the first time I have used this optician and the last. These glasses cost me double what I have paid at different opticians. I am not happy with the glasses and much less with the service."
"I was referred to Asheville Eye Associates by my former employer who is a retired retina surgeon. I need surgery for ptosis and he recommended the oculoplastic surgeon at Asheville Eye Associates. I filled out their online information form and received an email the next day telling me to call the office for an appointment. I wish I had not done so. Never have I encountered such rude behavior as I experienced on the phone today with the staff at AEA. They would not let me schedule an appointment even to a general ophthalmologist in the group for a routine eye exam. The two people I spoke with today were abrupt, impatient , and extremely unpleasant. They made it obvious that scheduling an appointment for me was the last thing they wanted to do. I am terribly disappointed with what happened today. My husband and I knew Dr. John Killian on both a personal and professional basis and I feel sure he would not have allowed this kind of behavior in his office. I am hesitant to write negative reviews because I know sometimes employees have "a bad day" and also, having worked in the medical profession for over forty years I know how stressful the job can be for Front Office staff. But, there is no excuse for the rude, uncaring, and actually, downright nasty attitude I experienced today with Dr. Goldstein and Dr. Killian's staff. Sometimes the doctors are not aware of these situations. I hope some of the physicians at AEA will read the reviews on Google and do something about this unacceptable behavior for the sake of their patients and their patients' families. I noticed that I am not alone in my criticism of the staff"
"If I could give less than one star, I would. I have never experienced such rude and condescending “medical professionals” in my life. A couple years has passed and I am still blown away every time I think of how I was treated. And on a couple of different occasions. Office staff was fine. I’m talking about the optometrists, Rachel Davis and especially Krempecki. They are the worst!!!!"
