"Their sign read “at capacity and not seeing anymore patients today.” With one car in the parking lot. Since this sign was a permanent wooden sign and not something handwritten on the door, I had to assume they do this often. Went to the ER in Franklin and was told that they indeed do."
"The medical bills we've received from this office have been confusing and infuriating. Since we were visiting family from out of state, we were told at check-in to not use our insurance and instead pay the out of pocket rate (~$360 for my spouse and I). It was a pretty penny but we felt it was worth it for the peace of mind since we were seeing a lot of family. The bills then began to appear in the mail about a month later & have been unending the past year. Even though we paid the "out of pocket rate" in full, they were asking for more money (an *additional* ~$420) for basic items like covid and flu tests. When I asked for clarity on why we were getting billed additional amounts for these items, they were rude and aggressive on the phone to me. I then provided our insurance information and asked for them to submit the claims to them. For whatever reason, Mission Health continued to say my insurance would not cover these items even though it covered them for my spouse. At the end of the day, I finally paid the balance to make it all go away because they were threatening debt collection. So that means I ended up paying almost $600 to be seen by a PA, at the same time as my spouse, for about 20 mins, who did nothing but provide basic tests and tell me and my spouse to use a netipot. Real nice. I've worked in the health industry many years and this feels like a total racket, bordering on medical gaslighting. ESPECIALLY because Franklin is a rural area with limited healthcare choices, and common courtesy was not provided when I had questions about the extra charges. Despite the limited options, I will NEVER return to this facility nor will my family members."
"My son had a fever and cough. i took him here after an unhelpful hospital visit. The doctor who saw us was very rude and asked me why i was there because the hospital did mulitple swab test (they didn't) when i told her they didn't take any test. she angrily said "yes. they did." and claimed she saw the records. (after the visit i call the hospital because i don't want to be charged for tests that weren't done and they didn't have any on record. so she clearly lied about seeing our hospital record) Before even looking at my son said that he was just congested and i needed to drain his nose and told me i needed to find a new pediatrician since mine didn't tell me this. and said "this poor baby is 3 years old and never had his nose drained?" When i said he had a fever she said "well does he have one now?" she acted like i was wasting her time coming there and made me feel like i was a bad mother. She was extremely rude and unprofessional and was clearly taking her frustrations out on me and writing it off as "being Tough". she was dismissing what i had to say and would cut me off so i couldn't speak. when she looked at his tongue she immediately stated that he had strep. then said she wasn't going to drain his nose. she also didn't do a strep test to confirm. considering she lied about seeing our hospital notes how do i know that that is actually what he's sick with? I left a message with the supervisor there but haven't gotten a call back. the experience i had was completely unacceptable. I was baffled by it and literally cried in my car after this interaction. Don't be hateful towards concern mothers."
"My daughter went on the 3rd, and Lauren at the check in was so amazing and did not make my daughters or mother out of place. Greg the doctor tested my daughter came back in and said that she was a very sick girl, he proceeded to give his instructions and picked her up to take her to he car. I am so pleased with these two and making my little girl feel better. Thank you Lauren and Greg. I will always come for urgent care needs! Lauren, you are good at what you do AND Greg, you are a wonderful doctor!!!!"
"I typically like this place. However, my son and I were fishing and he got a hook slighting stuck in his finger. Something any urgent care would normally cover. We go in about 45 mins prior to closing with my son in tears and told by the reception they were full. I looked in the parking lot and saw 2 vehicles. I looked at her again and said ma’am please we can’t afford the ER bill. She said sorry. We ended up at an ER because going to this location caused us to miss the other urgent care due to it closing. This went from us owing $10 to $1100. I filed a complaint with the BBB and was contacted by the facility which fully admitted to the doctor telling the receptionist to turn patients away and say they were full so they could close early. The only thing they offered was a half hearted apology yet left us with an $1100 ER bill. What kind of doctors office turns away an 11 yr old in pain and needing help? Went to the ER and the hook was removed in less than 15 mins. Something Mission my care now could have easily done with a numbing shot and antibiotics. This facility not only would not see my son they would not even assess him before turning us away. I will never forget how we were treated or the look on my sons face (who was already in pain) when he realized they wouldn’t help him. We were great supporters of Mission/HCA and now will never use another facility affiliated with them again. **in response to missions reply. You have my number and also a certified letter and you all do not return calls nor does anyone believe you are sorry. How does one inbox you? You don’t have an email listed on your website. Your practice based on reviews does this quite often with no regard for patients especially young children. I get stuck with an $1100 bill in which your own employees admit is your company’s fault yet no apology and mission refuses to make it right."
