"Cool"
"When it's the 3rd day of camp and you receive that dreadful call that your 6 year old child has been left on a hot van your heart immediately drops. That's what happened to me. Not only was my daughter left on a van for at least 30minutes to an hour while on a field trip to the movies but the employee Tianna NEVER realized she was missing. My daughter's seat belt was stuck and as she tried to get out of it she was left alone to figure it out in the hot sun. According to the owner Tasha -the employee/driver Tianna had about 8 children on the van and one was added some time prior to them leaving for the trip due to a late arrival at camp. I'm still confused as to how the child was able to board the van when the guideline indicates if your child is not present at 8:45they will not be allowed to attend the tip that day. Clearly the owner isn't following her own policies. When I confronted both Tasha and Tiana I was advised that when the last child exits the van it is their (the minor) responsibility to close the door which lets Tiana know that all children are off the van. Not once did she or the owner indicate the procedure was for the driver to check the van or not allow the children to exit without her being there to physically see them off the van. Tasha indicated that Tiana was supposed to do a headcount but it was never confirmed that one was actually done. Anyway, my 6 year old daughter was bamming on the windows and yellng for help. Several adults walked by but they didn't hear her crying out for help. Thank God a stranger- a mom of 2 heard my daughter and rescued her. The good Samaritan was able to open the unlocked front door and retrieve my daughter. She took her inside the theater to an employee who helped my daughter locate her class. How in the world do you forget a child who has attended your facility for afterschool care for the last year? When I dropped my daughter off that day she went straight to TIana so she should have been fully aware that she was on the field trip. Tasha lied to me several times. She never told me that my daughter was found by a stranger. She pretended to be surprised when I told her but my gut tells me she knew. Tasha said the employee TIana would be suspended, she wasn't. She then told me the next morning she would be fired, she wasn't. As of this day I have not received a phone call, email, or text to see if my daughter is ok. This facility is not licensed by the state because they do not provide daycare services. Unfortunately, there is no state, county or government regulation of this business that I could find. What's even more disheartening is that I really can't do much. If I as a parent left my child in a hot car I would be in jail facing child endangerment or neglect charges and I would also be fighting to prove I am a fit mother. How can an after school childcare facility who provides full time summer camp be so negligent without any consequence? Tasha told me my money would be refunded. Do you know when her father went to pick up the refund Tianna acted like she had no clue of who he was."
"Very rude manager, I called to asked about care for my kids for 2 days a week as her website said they take drop-ins but when I called she told me a higher price and told me I should just pay for all week in which I can't afford. She seems so heartless for individuals seeking care for their kids!!!!"
