"Prichard failed to supervise and monitor my 1yr., old child resulting in significant facial injury's(i.e., skin lacerations, eye/ nose/ cheek bruising, and swelling). The injury's were significant enough to require a Doctors visit. I"ll say PCD is consistent, not only did they fail to protect our child, they failed to accurately document the injury, they failed administratively - they have no accident/ injury policy, and the Director failed to reach out to check on our little one. I would never recommend this place to anyone, I wish we would have had the benefit of warning to spare us such an awful experience!"
"We love Pritchard! My daughter has had the best experiences at Pritchard since she was there when she was only 3 months old. Now she is 21 months old. Most of previous reviews were really old. You have to have a tour and talk to the center in order to know how good they are."
"We love Pritchard CDC."
"POOR LEADERSHIP/NO DIRECTION. High turnover in faculty, staff, parents and children. Director and Asst. Director encourage the use of extensive time out, which most educators and physicians despise. Also, the director, while probably a decent person, isn't formally trained and has absolutely no warmth towards the children. Neither the director nor the assistant director can speak to a curriculum for the classrooms. It should also be noted that this daycare has seen 4 different directors and assistant directors over the past 4-5 years! HIGH-TURNOVER AMONGST TEACHERS. What's worse is that the teachers are underappreciated, underpaid, and asked to rotate from classroom to classroom each year. So, imagine a teacher who is passionate about teaching 3 year olds being asked - well, more like directed/coerced - to watch (not teach) babies. Not to mention, the teachers teach in fear of being scolded by the director; therefore, a lot of the newer teachers leave within six months due to lack of support and an open door policy. This, of course, is the primary cause of the turnovers. LOCATION/FOOD. These is the only reason this daycare didn't get a 1 star rating. The location is perfect, right on the outskirts of downtown. Also, the food is made in-house by a chef. But, they've had a high turnover in that department as well. OVERALL - I would only recommend that people attend this daycare once the director/asst. director are either reassigned to another role, obtain formal training, or hire a curriculum director. Otherwise, I suggest avoiding this daycare, even if it means paying extra for a better one in the same area. And trust me, there are plenty - from St. Luke's CDC, Avondale CDC, Dilworth CDC (though the waitlist is ridiculous), KinderCare (Park Road); not to mention, there are plenty downtown."
