Sunshine House of Charlotte at Davis Lake Parkway

"Ms. Liz, Ms. Z, and Ms. Cynthia who all have worked in the bigger 1 year old room while my son was in there, are rockstars. Ms. Liz should absolutely be known as the toddler whisperer. She has all of the best activities, arts and crafts, and games for these kiddos to play. There is never a full moment with them— and I mean that in the greatest way a parent could want. You’ll never have to worry if your kid is getting the love and attention they deserve. They all have so much love in their heart for these kids and it’s so amazing to see. They also know exactly how your kids day was. They watch for habits or new words your kid may have learned that way they can tell you too. I could not be more impressed with how the 1 year old room is run and handled."

"I witnessed my son being mishandled. When I confronted said "care giver" she told me I was "buggin." The director was there and said/did nothing. The unprofessionalism, disrespect/disregard of parents and mistreatment of BABIES is unbelievable. This is only my most egregious complaint as there are other issues with how this place is being run. They take liberties over the children they should not and put themselves before the benefit of the children. I contacted corporate and they have yet to even acknowledge my concern. Some people ought not have children in their care and my son's teacher is one of them. To be so detached, rough and mechanical with babies as if they are robots is unacceptable. My son has been there a month and he would not eat nor sleep there. I thought it was because he was new to daycare but the first day at his new daycare he is eating all of his meals and taking naps regularly. Its something about Sunshine House, his teacher more specifically, that my son was uncomfortable and did not feel safe. I advise parents to really pay attention to the demeanor of the teachers and how they interact with the children. Please do not only keep a schedule, do pop ups and see what is going on when they are not expecting you. Shame on these ladies."

"We love the teachers & staff at this location. Our child has attended Sunshine House since September 2021 & has been very happy. Because our child is able to communicate to us at home things that she has learned at school, daily, we know that the teachers are doing their jobs. If there are ever any concerns or questions about anything, it is easy to discuss & talk to the director about. Mrs. Jackie has continued to do a wonderful job at managing the center in the essence of providing parents with quality in staff & teachers. I commend the entire center for keeping our children as safe as possible as we move through COVID. I would not want my child to attend another facility. We love it here!"

"My wife and I have our daughter there. She has been doing awesome. She has made a lot of friends at the school and is thriving. It seems like everyday she is learning something new and at 15 months, she is super independent. I have seen some of the reviews about unprofessional staff and couldn't disagree more. All of the staff has been super professional and seem to genuinely care about our daughters success."
