Gaston Hope In Christ is a health institution located at 3250 Redbud Drive in Gastonia, North Carolina, United States. Our mission is to build relationships to enrich lives by developing character, confidence, and community through tutoring academically at-risk students, mentoring teen leaders, and teaching non-native English learners. Established in 1999, we are a local ministry of area churches and individuals working together to meet the needs of our communities.

Our main program, Hope in Christ Tutoring, offers free tutoring after school three days a week, providing a caring and learning environment for students. We also offer college internships, high school student enrichment programs, and English as a Second Language (ESL) classes for adult learners. All of our programs are offered at little to no cost to participants, thanks to donations from churches, groups, individuals, and fundraising efforts.

We are governed by a diverse board of directors and offer our programs and services to all, regardless of background or beliefs. We are grateful for our partners, including Maranatha Church of God, Eastside Church of the Nazarene, City Church, and the Dollar General Literacy Foundation, who support our mission of serving the community through education and empowerment.
