"If you're reading this review looking for scuba lessons/certification, your search is over. You found the right choice! My husband and I completed our certification course with Inman and it was a fabulous experience. We reviewed all of the content in his shop and were fitted for gear to get prepped for the weekend. He went above and beyond to make sure we had the right gear for our winter diving experience to stay comfortable. Once we got to the dive sight, he throughly explained and demonstrated all the skills we needed on land, and made sure we were comfortable before we got into the water. Once in the quarry he was attentive and empathetic as we practiced our skills, reviewing each one with us set by step. Not only is it clear that safety is Inman's top priority and that he's extremely knowledgeable about the sport, but he's also a fun, cool person to spend a weekend with while learning a new skill. "Absolutely phenomenal! Every part of our experience was exceptional. If I could give them a 10 star review, I would! cannot recommend Blackbeard Scuba highly enough. From our very first encounter, I knew we were in good, safe, knowledgeable, and kind hands. Lucas, our Captain and Jay, our Dive Master for the day, were better than I could ever have hoped. I was nervous diving, as it was my first time using new equipment. I’ve been open water certified for many years, but have always rented gear. On a dive in FL last month I had an equipment malfunction (again, this was in FL with a totally different company…not Blackbeard), so decided I should invest in my own gear so I could feel confident it would always work. After that experience, and being the first time in the ocean with my new gear, I was very nervous (I’d tested it in pool but not the ocean). Jay and Lucas put me instantly at ease . It’s abundantly clear that safety is their number one goal, and they go above and beyond to be sure divers have a safe, fun, relaxing day. They did everything anyone could expect and lure to make our day fun, stress-free, comfortable and relaxing. I haven’t had so much fun in years and I can’t wait to get back to dive with them again.
