"This has been the most unpleasant experience I have ever encountered at an establishment. We arrived at 7pm on 2/13/24 in the ER. After waiting for 2 hours they finally did a urine and pregnancy test. The doctor said they would call us (girlfriend) back for fluids, ultrasound and CT scan. It's now 5am and we are still waiting for fluids, ultrasound and CT scan. The fact that this establishment caters to the homesless, the druggies and people without insurance before handling the ones that do is uncalled for and completely out of line. They have repeat people that come In everyday and they know then by name and they STILL handle them for issues that aren't issues. They just want out of work or off the streets. It's disgusting at the fact we pay 600 month for insurance with a 5k deductible and STILL get seen behind the homeless, druggies and the ones that don't have insurance. Might I add this is the SAME hospital that got sued along with the KPD for killing a woman due to releasing her with still having issues breathing. There's a video you can look up date 2-4-23. I hope the administrator reads this and fixes the issue for the paying and responsible people that pay and have insurance. Not hard to get a job. Heck fire McDonald's provides insuranc. You have money AND insurance. What a thought for the low lifes"
"I came in at midnight with intense chest pain. I sat in the waiting room for 4 hours throwing up trying to catch my breath from the pain. They got me in a room and gave me one iv bag then ran three different tests saying I was fine all I needed was and IV and food. After that first IV I didn’t get any water for 12 hours even after begging my nurse. She brought me a juice cup! Thanks Amanda! I was desperately mashing the page button to ask her for water. I had to send my boyfriend out and even yell from my room to get her attention. I’m not sure if the bedside pagers even work because I told her multiple times I needed water and she never even came. She told me she would bring a second IV but I never saw it. I spent 17 hours in the emergency room getting unnecessary tests and being ignored when I was begging for basic necessities like water. Sending prayers for anyone that has to go to this place. JUST GO TO UT HOSPITAL"
"It's a Covenant facility so naturally it's not wise to expect much, but what this place did to Lisa Edwards is so morally repugnant and disgusting it defies the lowest of expectations. Even for the callused it's hard to watch a grown woman beg and cry for help only for Fort Sanders Regional Medical Center to treat her with less dignity and natural human empathy than one would have for a stray dog. Truly grotesque. She deserved better."
"My husband and I were here for delivery of our first baby. We had complications during the birth. Our daughter wasn’t breathing when she arrived due to the umbilical cord being wrapped around her neck. The cord tore away from the placenta causing me to start hemorrhaging. The nursing staff was able to revive our little one quickly and with the upmost concern. The doctor and multiple nurses worked for hours to stop my bleeding and comfort my poor husband who was beside himself with concern and panic. Our doctor and the amazing L&D staff saved both of our lives that day. After delivery I went to the ICU had incredible nurses there too. They made sure to take my husband and I over to see our little girl in the nursery whenever they could. Once we were finally transferred to the postpartum ward those nurses were also fantastic, save for one who was rude when I asked about postpartum care. I tried to explain I had been in the ICU and hadn’t had the opportunity to learn about it yet, but she kept interrupting me and being very short with me. She wasn’t assigned as my nurse thankfully and was only stepping in to help because my nurse was busy. Aside from her I had top tier care the whole time. The L&D nurses that helped save our lives came to visit and give my husband and I hugs. Our doctor came daily to check on us and the critical care doctor that helped my doctor care for me during and after also checked on me daily. The nursery nurses that took care of our little one were so in love with her. They cared for her so beautifully while we couldn’t be there for her. I would highly recommend Dr. Martin OBGYN, all of the L&D staff, the nursery staff, and the ICU/CV staff. Our family will be forever grateful for all of them and the care that was shown for our family."
"My 19 year old daughter was admitted and treated for blood clots in her leg. The ER doctor was great and explained everything they were checking for. During her 3 day stay she had awesome nurses,, as well as, all other staff members. The specialists that came in were wonderful and easy to talk to. Thank you Fort Sanders!"
