"Great hike to the top of the mountain with a beautiful view! There is a picnic table and benches at the top as well as benches along the way. There are covered picnic tables shelters and lots of open field areas around the park and bathrooms. There are walking trails throughout the park."
"This was a pretty decent playground! My favorite part of it was how it was surrounded by so much greenery and landscape. They were two different designated areas for children to play, according to their age group. There is also picnic tables for seating, some benches, shaded areas, etc. The bathrooms were in good condition. There are a lot of trail options, as well."
"My kids love this place and we frequently bike here for sunsets at the top of the hill. Also they think the trash burn off constant flame pipe is cool. Great place for pics and the playground is fairly new. Convenient to bike to off the Neuse River trail."
"Very nice clean park in the middle of nature, nothing else man-made around. Surrounded by trees and trails and grassy hills. Playground equipment looks newer and modern. Thereβs a paved pathway circling the playground area so kids can bring their toddler bikes and ride around there. They have a spider-web jungle gym too geared towards smaller kids/toddlers, cuz the openings are smaller than normal and the ropes are closer together and more of them. They also have a creatively-shaped climbing wall there that Iβve never seen at any playground before, and, Iβve taken my son to over 60 playgrounds by now... They also have a paved pathway trail to walk on as well as off-the-path trails back into a beautiful wooded area with a little stream. A very nice playground and park!"
"I really like this park, great view of Raleigh and the surrounding areas. This park is essentially a giant hill with a recreational area that includes a playground and seating area. A gravel road leads up the hill to the top where there are a number of park benches and picnic tables as well as a bicycle rack (for parking/locking bikes). The view from atop the hill is excellent you can see for miles in every direction. A road runs around the base of the hill along which there are several parking areas, and one including direct access to the playground area. Access to the top of the hill is by foot only. This is a great place to walk the dogs too. This would be a great park to have open at night!"
