"We've been renting for 2 years now with Progress and issues just continue to arise. Maybe the worst customer service of any company we've dealt with. They're very slow to respond to anything or fix anything. Most of the time it takes 2-3 visits before something is fixed. It's been everything from sneaking charges in, water damage, leaks, slow responses, rude customer service, bad communication, HOA issues that are not our fault and want to charge us an arm and a leg to move to another house. This of course on top of paying extremely high rent for piss poor service. Apparently there are worse rental companies but can't wait to be able to not rent and get away from this company."
"I just want to share my experience with Progress residential. We moved from the Memphis market to the Charlotte market a few weeks ago. What a flipping difference between the two markets. Progress residential in Charlotte knows what they are doing and should be the poster child for how a division should be managed. I could go on with more praises but I’ll end here. I will say the Memphis market should be ashamed and embarrassed how it runs its business. Thank you to the Charlotte market for all they do."
"STAY AWAY FROM THIS COMPANY. Absolutely horrendous experience. They cut my power off days before I moved out despite the fact that I’ve paid all my rent and utilities on time every month. The house wasn’t even cleaned before I moved in and yet they charge $450 if you don’t hire professional cleaners before you move out (although without power, you can’t actually have anyone clean). Maintenance takes forever to even respond let alone get around to fixing issues. Not to mention the house looked nice in the pictures and when I walked through it but it started to fall apart as soon as I moved in. The neighborhood is sketchy and one of the neighboring houses even had their garage blow up, but they still increased the rent to almost $2000. Will NEVER rent from Progress again."
"To be honest when I started with progress I sang their praises but as of these last two years they have been bad business . First of all , they continue to give me HOA violations and forcing me to pay for fees when THEY didn't receive my submitted violation appeals in time . We sent it when we were supposed to and they didn't get back to us then one day we get an email that someone was going to come out . I immediately emailed the Progress HOA person about it and no response . I called the number provided to us for it and the woman said she would put in a claim , never heard back . So I ended up paying $260 extra in fees because I don't want to fight it anymore . Then a month later my heat goes down and it takes them 4 days to fix the problem and this is in the middle of winter . I have two kids under 3 in my home and being without that heat was DETRIMENTAL . I've tried calling to complain I've tried emailing and no one seems to want to answer me . The wife and I can't wait to be out of Progress's grasp . This has been insane . I pray no one else has to deal with them the way I have ."
"Update***Sarah from the advocacy team promptly resolved my issue. She was empathetic, efficient and overall pleasant to work with. I have been renting with progress for over 9yrs. I just had the worst experience with one of their phone agents. She laughed at me and spoke so condescending to me. Mailed my payment to progress and they can’t locate it. This is the 3rd payment they have done it with. The previous time we were advised to submit a stop payment and send it again. Which we did. In the meantime they located it, not informing us of course and so of course the payment was returned because THEY TOLD US TO STOP PAYMENT. Now they’re saying that we can no longer submit payments via the app and we must mail money orders in. I can’t believe they would penalize us for their mistake. When I spoke with Victor the supervisor he said that there isn’t anything he could do but he would speak to his manager about it but I doubt it. I usually have no complaints but it seems like their service is going downhill. We’ve had several sewage floods and they will take days before coming to clean it up. It’s like all they care about is getting your money and that’s it. But my interaction with this last agent took me over the edge. I’m not sure if I’ll be renewing next year. You can’t treat people any way you want. It’s not right. And again you can’t penalize someone else for your mistake."
