"This past Summer we were looking for a daycare for our 3 yr old and found this hidden gem in Southern Village. I hadn’t seen or heard of this daycare before but I’m so thankful we gave them a try! My little guy has made huge strides in his 5 months there- his speech has improved tremendously, his eating is getting better and he has even started reading words. My son also suffers from food allergies and CHCDCC has gone above and beyond to ensure his safety. This daycare is definitely unlike others out there- they have a play based learning curriculum and put an emphasis on creativity and outdoor play. They encourage the kids to explore and allow them to play and get messy- doing all the fun things kids should be doing. One of the things I love is the picture updates I get of my son throughout the day- getting to see him play and interact with his friends is so special. The teachers have all been there for a long time & you can tell that they all love their jobs. I’m beyond impressed with his teacher, Ms. Nahidja, and all the other teachers, directors and staff."

All of the staff -- from the teachers to the chef to the administration and assistants -- have been warm and welcoming since our daughters started there in April 2021. CHDCC navigates the craziness of little kids and their families and the broader craziness of Covid and general life with patience and grace. "Our toddler is currently in Chapel Hill Daycare Center and our older son attended it since he was 2 until he turned 5. Between the two of them, we have gone through every classroom in the Center and can say that we (and they) have loved our experience there. Our kids have learned (and is still learning) important social and academic skills through play, and we have been delighted to watch our older child grow into a confident and respectful little guy! The teachers and staff really care about the children, are warm and nurturing, and the curriculum for every age group is fun and enriching. And the food is Yum!!!"
