"Very fine black box theater. We saw a production of Harold Pinter's Moonlight. Well acted with good production values. It's so encouraging to see small theater companies take on sometimes less accessible playwrights like Pinter. Bravo, Burning Coal."
"My wife and I very much enjoy Burning Coal. they mostly have dramatic productions and is a small intimate performance space. Actors and productions are first rate. We have been members for many years and looking forward to future performances."
"Can’t add much to what’s already been said. Great company, old school (literally!) amazing venue, not a bad seat in the house. Quality theater, up close and personal — this pic was taken from the back row. A modest selection of adult beverages would be nice….but that’s the only minor nitpick I’ve got."
"Enjoyed a special preview of the thought provoking Arcadia last night at Coal Burning Theatre. The theatre is very intimate, allowing the viewer to feel immersed in the story. The ambiance was pleasant, staff friendly. As for the play itself, the actors were energetic and authentic, the costumes on point and the set was beautiful. One look at the wistful rolling hills displayed on the painted backdrop and I felt transported to Derbyshire. The creative director’s meticulous choices of casting, set design, and directing contributed to the success of the wonderfully engaging production. I look forward to seeing what’s next."
"Really cool theatre space connected to a school. The entrance was a little difficult to find but there is a big sign above the door. I view 2 really cool aerial circus shows put on by Cirque De Vol here."
