"This is in our top three parks in Wilmington even though this was our first visit! They have a couple of play equipment areas for kids which my son loves and of course then there is the lake where you can rent paddle boats etc which we did not do this time but we definitely will in the future. There is also great walking and running amenities with a nice pathway. The pavilions are very attractive, and the restrooms were well kept."
"I have heard of how nice Greenfield Park was long before I finally stepped onto its path. This is a very peaceful and beautiful park to walk. I walked over 3.5 miles with a friend and loved the scenes. Each point of the lake displays its own art show. This is a must see park!"
"This park is truly a diamond. A rare find. Has true southern flavor with the trees with the Spanish moss hanging down, the beautiful flora and fauna, the birds, cute paddle boats, tennis courts, escape park and pavilions. Just a precious place that we enjoy taking the kids of big buddy every August for back to school event. So glad the city has a place like this."
"This is my favorite place to Kayak. The Cypress trees with the Spanish moss makes it a magical place. I also like the running path that goes all the way around the lake, it is almost 4 miles and makes for nice run. Many migratory birds use the lake so depending on the time of year you can see a wide variety. An hour before sunset is great because many birds will start to roost in the trees."
"Beautiful, peaceful place for walking, cycling, paddle boating, picnics & a nice playground for the children. There is NO swimming allowed as the lake is home to alligators and poisonous snakes. There are tons of turtles. All best viewed from the many bridges and gazebos sprinkled about the 4 mile path around the lake. The flower gardens are lovely, plenty of opportunities to take some great photos. I personally love the gorgeous cypress trees with Spanish moss draping down."
