Reviews of Goodwill Industries of Eastern NC Inc. - Sir Tyler
"I regularly donate my clean clothing and personal items to Goodwill. Please utilize Goodwill for your donations, OR please donate to a not for profit that will benefit your community or one in need"
"The guy shut the light off in the entire store while I was shopping, tried to overprice an item I was buying and then seriously asked me to DONATE after all of this! I DO NOT RECOMMENDED THIS STORE AND WILL NEVER RETURN! NOT a Goodwill. Just money hungry!!! And btw, the store still had 10 minutes before closing. There was ABSOLUTELY no reason for his actions! I couldn't even see what I was trying to buy! -5 stars for his actions alone!"
"This place has buggies but they will not let you use them to push your toddler around they claim they are for store use only but when I'm shopping that should be stored use. I asked two workers to help me find a buggy so I can push my grandbaby and Shop and neither of them acted like they wanted to help at all and would not allow me to use the buggies they had very very disappointed with this overpriced place that charges an arm and a leg for things that were donated to them for free"
"I love going there and looking through all the whatnot! They have a bunch of holiday stuff, wonderful Christmas decorations that look almost new. In the past I have found Pfaltzgraff for my daughter's collection. You need to have a bit of a treasure hunter soul to navigate through the endless racks of clothing. Don't forget the shoes! Yes they have those toò...high end shoes and boots are in a display case by the register. You can and will find high end designer clothing but be prepared to spend time treasure hunting. That's where the most fun is! They also have a small electronics area. Everything from electric hamburger cookers, bread machines, personal humidifiers etc... I can't say enough good things about Goodwill. They are a deserving organization and need our help and support. Now the con... When I was there on Friday 3/23 at the Sir Tyler location in Wilmington the store was extremely busy. The parking lot was packed. There was only one cashier working and she was checking out a woman that had apx 30 plushie stuffed toys and 3 full baskets of clothing. People were lined up. I went to the area where the other employees were and told them that the cashier was swamped with the one customer and needed help. I was rudely told that the other cashier was on break and I would just have to wait. I wasn't worried about waiting, I was more concerned about the poor cashier having to deal with no support/relief. They have no interest in helping each other which was quite obvious. It would have taken one other employee 5 minutes on a register to clear up the jam. Having worked retail for years I understood the situation immediately and what they did was so wrong on so many levels. Then when break was over and they all came back on the floor, I was still waiting for the line to go down, I walked past the woman that I spoke to in the back and there was an empty shopping cart in aisle that I just nudged to get around. She came running after me saying loudly "no no don't touch that " I said I'm only just going around it. I'm just baffled at this point. Goodwill needs to recheck their management/employees at the Sir Tyler location. There was no excuse for this behavior."
