"The view is nice but the hotel is old and sadly understaffed. It's not that they don't have enough bodies working there. You see plenty of staff walking around. But it seems it takes 3 of them to do the job of one. For example their restaurant is setup with at least 20 tables capacity, but it seems they can only handle 3 tables at a time and won't even sit the many people waiting in line. When we (party of 4) eventually got seated they brought a carafe of coffee but only 2 cups. So it took them an extra trip. Inefficiency abounds. The lounge is not serviced frequently enough (back to staffing issue?). For example the coffee machine was not working (seemed to me all it needed was a reboot). I reported to concierge and instead of paging a staff they told me to get my coffee from the restaurant. I don't see how the restaurant staff would take time out to go make a cappuccino to someone waiting in line to be seated. The lounge is not supplied with hot food during weekends. All you'll find there is candies/snacks/water and... coffee, if you're lucky."
"The Winston Salem Marriott was a perfect blend of comfort and convenience. Its central location and exceptional amenities, including the fitness center and it was walking distance from the convention center which was great. They also had restaurants within walking distance, which enhanced my stay. Visiting in late January, I experienced personalized and attentive service. I am excited about returning and utilizing my network for hosting events and collaborations at this venue."
"Stayed for 3 nights for Wrestlecade 2023 and had a great time. Very nice rooms in great condition. It was quiet and peaceful and the location is great! It's a 5 minute walk from about 6 great restaurants, convenience stores and the convention center. You can part your car for the weekend. Looking forward to next year!"
"The hotel was very nice. Centrally located directly next to the convention center. The parking garage had a sky bridge so you didnt have to go outside to go to the car. Room was nice. Staff was friendly. There is a valet service, but i used the self park. Would definitely stay again if i was going to an event in the area"
"Here right now, have brought this to the attention of the front desk and they didn't really seem to care. Fail to honor reservation, fail to address broken rooms, and the hotel is not safe in the common areas. I attempted to check in for my room today that I booked weeks ago and was told they did not have any rooms (king beds) available, which was my reservation. The clerk said I could wait (it was after check in time) or accept either a lower class room or an accessible room. I chose the accessible room and was given room 515. Room 515 had several issues to include the odor of sewer gas, the television wasn't working, the shower head was broken, and the door to the bathroom was damaged. I returned to the front desk and requested a new room. I was told the only room I could have was, again, a lower class than my reservation. The gentlemen at the front desk did not offer to have anyone fix the problems with the room. There was no apology for failing to honor my reservation, just take it or leave it. It was my understanding that as long as I booked more than 48 hours prior to my arrival that my reservation was guaranteed. That apparently is incorrect. Also, the hotel is unsafe, people from the greyhound bus station across the street have access to all floors and I had one come into the gym while working out. How could he manage this? Because the magnetic lock on the door is also inoperable. Nothing like having non-guest strangers appear while your back is turned to a door, in an isolated space. I'm not too worried about me, but ladies, maybe avoid the treadmills or don't keep your headphones in."
