"I am livid! I go to family dollar. Been going here 3yrs since I bought a home. I give my 9yr old money because he made A honor roll. He goes in and a black man says "gimme your money in your hand not in your pocket". My son comes bolting out and says "a black man is trying to rob me". I go in ready to do war only to find out it's an employee! The employee, royal, says "oh good I was trying to teach him a lesson, that you should have your money in your pocket..." needless to say I am ready to fight. He also adds he's ex military and law enforcement so he knows he didn't do anything wrong and cannot be charged and that he does this same thing to other black little boys/kings. Who knows his true motive or how many times he's done this or gotten away with robbery. This is unnecessary trauma to a child and and to me an angry mother. Had I not reacted the way I did this could have gone worse."
"Would give it 0 stars if I could. The manager was there and I went to get a refund for 32.00 and he charged me instead of doing the refund so I'm out 60.00 said he didn't want to deal with me and I asked for the number to corporate.. he said ok now get out of my hair I don't want to deal with you anymore."
"I've been a frequent customer for about 20 year's.I have always had great customer service there, until today.5/01/21.The clerk who name is Rovel was not only rude, terrible attitude and when I ask him a question he replied with" man I didn't hear you." I'm a woman and don't address me in that manner. After I complain to the manager about his behaviour, and ask for the HQ phone number. Rovel stated to me, Hey you started it.(I started it but I'm the customer who ask a question at the register). He continued to get loud as I was still addressing the manager, I left with the number and I will be calling HQ. Bad experience today!! Customer service wasn't great at all."
"This store always has almost anything I could ever want to find. Great prices, great team, they're very friendly and helpful. I give this 4 stars for the fact that it is impossible to go in or out of this store without being bothered by someone asking for money. If they could get rid of this guy I would go much more often, but some days I just don't feel like dealing with him."
"Christmas Day, they close at 5pm, so came here at 4:15 to get a soda...doors were locked. When I waved at employee inside, he owned door and said he had to many people inside and had to clean. I said I just wanted a soda, he told me now and locked the door. Really dumbfounded by this bearded employee conduct and disregard to his job. Hope the owner and manager sees this."
