"I usually frequent this food lion because it’s so close to home. I came in for a few items and needed to get past an employee to grab some vegetables. I politely asked if I could get by and you would think I wished death upon his entire family the way he glared at me. ‘Just give me a minute okay?? Alright??’ Bizarre behavior. I wasn’t rushing him or being nasty at all. Everyone is usually very nice but tonight’s encounter was just unsettling"

"I work at a neighboring business to this food lion and we were low on one dollar bills. After going to the deli department, and back up to around self check out and customer service, a ‘manager’, who was hiding in the office (NO ONE WATCHING SELF CHECKOUT NOR WAS THERE ANYONE NEAR ANY OF THE FRONT REGISTERS) I asked him if he would please trade me $40 one dollar bills for 2 $20 bills. He huffed and said no. I have done this in this building at least 3 times and the women who work during the day are always super nice and happy to help. First off, there should always be eyes on self checkout. Secondly, I wasn’t asking for anything for free or any huge favor, AND we shop at this food lion every single day and no one has ever been rude to me like this man was. Please, for the love of all things holy, hire better shift leads because this guy’s “customer service” was a literal joke. I also don’t think corporate would like no eyes or ears on their self checkout machines. Lastly, there were 15 registers. I counted them. I know for a fact they had 40, $1 bills to give me. Ridiculous. Absolutely ridiculous."

"Twice now I’ve purchased dairy products from this location and despite them being well within their expiry date they have been absolutely rancid. I suspect maybe certain items don’t get thrown out when they should if the store loses power/etc. There is no reason cheese or milk products should be spoiled otherwise if there is no recall on those items. +1 star for friendly staff, but extremely disappointed by having purchased items that were defective and hazardous to public health."

"I really like the renovations made to this store. The location is everything it’s right beside Chick-fil-A, Starbucks and Walgreens. So if you have to stop at one of those places you can still stop for grocery as well . It’s clean and the employees are nice and friendly."
