"While comparing Lidl to Aldi, our usual haunt, Lidl felt slightly disorganized this morning. Stocking crews maneuvering trolleys created navigation bottlenecks, particularly in the meat aisle. Everything looked damp, with dripping packages adding to the unappealing scene. Despite a restocking lady present, the aisle lacked variety. This mid-morning stocking, if typical, disrupts the shopping flow. Lidl's prices skew slightly higher than Aldi's. Their bakery, though extensive, offers pre-opened baked goods arranged conveniently in bins for a grab-and-go approach. However, the "freshness factor" was missing. Notably absent was a dedicated bagging area, forcing us to hastily transfer things from cart to register and then relocate to an empty lane for bagging. Self-checkout would be a game-changer here. Numerous unoccupied checkout lanes felt like wasted space. While specialty items might lure us back on occasion, Lidl likely won't replace our regular grocery pitstop."

"Really love the prices & cleanliness of their stores! They usually have everything I'm looking for, although maybe an unknown brand. The staff there are friendly & helpful. Just remember to bring your own bags unless you plan to buy them there! They always have interesting items in their middle isles that are great bargains!"

"Shopping at Lidl is fine. The prices are good and the products are like you'd find anywhere else. Working for this company is a nightmare. They literally hire just anyone and most of the employees have emotional and/or drug issues and are always yelling or upset about something. Their management style is inducing fear into employees to get more out of them. Lidl is designed to run on skeleton crews, which is super stressful if people have to call out. This is the shortest job I've ever had. I lasted 3 months. I couldn't take the emotional chaos anymore. This place is just flat out abusive if you're an employee. Good riddance."

"A welcome addition to the Steele Creek neighborhood. We already have a Walmart Supercenter, Super Target, two Publix, ALDI and Earth Fare (might be closed again, can't tell). All within three miles of this new Lidl. Hooray for competition. Prices here are excellent. This is a full supermarket with many options in the produce department, great bakery, lots of canned and bottled goods, dairy variety and multiple cuts of different proteins in the butchery. Many are name brands, too!"

"Very clean grocery store with fresh vegetables, fruits, and a nice small bakery for breads and pastries. Lidl isn’t as large as most other grocery stores, such as Harris Teeter or Whole Foods, but it still has plenty of selection. It’s similar to Aldi but I think it has more products and variety. Be sure to download their mobile app to accrue rewards points and receive discount coupons. Lastly, be sure to bring your own reusable grocery bags."
