"Let me start by saying the employees there are friendly and cordial. The facility is clean and inviting. I am writing this poor review to bring to light something that a new customer doesn't find out until it's too late. I had 3 teeth requiring crowns. I was given a detailed estimate. After stage 1 was completed I was told I owe another $250 due to "insurance issues". I paid and had the rest of the work done. It took 6 months for the pain to go away. I even went back to make sure nothing was wrong and was told no, just takes time. Now, 1 year later, I've received text messages telling me I am past due and they will send the $276 bill out for collections...WHAT?!!! I never received a bill or was called prior to this new bill. I was paid in full after my last appointment. I asked them to send me a bill detailing what the additional charges are for and I would gladly pay. Today I did receive a bill...can you guess what the "detailed" bill is for? Well, the only description is merely "balance forward". DO NOT use this company for your dental work or you too may receive additional bills, years later, if the office needs more money to survive. I have also filed a claim with the BBB. Customers truly need to know when businesses take advantage of consumers. Thank goodness for reviews and the BBB."

"First off I’d like to clarify the woman who examined and took my X-rays was cordial and friendly. What motivated the one star was the poor administration work in my experience. After calling the office in advance, giving insurance over the phone, filling out new patient information with insurance information (still a day in advance), I was told that I don’t have dental coverage. They tell me after they had already administered shots of anesthetic to half my mouth to begin the deep cleaning. That news wasn’t the terrible part, mistakes happen and maybe my husband failed to renew me as a dependent, but to interrupt mid session when they had all this time to verify was very unprofessional. Once office admin came in with that update, they gave me the option to continue, if I agreed in paying without insurance, or stop there to get billed what had already been done. I apologized and agreed to stop the treatment while I did my due diligence in calling Delta insurance (PPO) I’m billed over $100+ dollars and left confused. Me and husband call and speak to delta representatives who confirm I am covered as a dependent. I call rocky hill office back and give them the insurance number to call because I still want to be a new patient. Admin told me that they would call the insurance again and call me back. Summary: 1. Admin never called me back to follow up 2. They numbed half my face for nothing 3. I was able to confirm I was covered and now I’m submitting a claim to my insurance for reimbursement. Either this was a micro aggression toward my person and I was never going to have a good experience with the staff. Or This was simple negligence on the admins part to double checking insurance. Please be better trained for future business since this headache cost me time away from work and money (for now) as I wait for the claim to be processed."

"DO NOT GO. I have been going here for 2 years. Dr. Masengill is an extremely rude and unprofessional dentist. He has refused to numb my gums before drilling on teeth, he made me feel awful about my teeth multiple times and every time I stood up for myself and told him I wasn’t happy with something he had done like $15,000 worth of crowns that are yellow, different shapes and lengths he takes the easy way out and tells you he won’t be seeing you anymore instead of doing what’s right and fixing his mistakes. DO NOT GO HERE. I picked this dental office because of the highly rated reviews on Dr. Masengil and is has been quite literally been the worst experience of my life."

"This is the best place I’ve been for teeth cleaning. They are quick, and they seem to be knowledgeable about different issues with teeth/gums and their causes. The cleaning was efficient, and they did everything including X-rays in under thirty minutes. It’s a small place with only a little room in the lobby area, so it’s best to go when it isn’t crowded. They give you a toothbrush and toothpaste when you leave, which is something I prefer when selecting a dentist. I’d highly recommend this place for routine cleanings."
