Reviews of Northshore Smiles Dentistry
"Do not go! Terrible experience. I went for a checkup and cleaning. We just moved to the area and I was last seen at my previous dentist 6 months ago. Somehow in that time frame I have “developed” major gum disease. They would not do a cleaning unless I paid out of pocket for a deep cleaning which was $270. I was also told I had a fractured tooth that needed a crown and possible root canal. They wanted to do it all that same day. Upon a second opinion, none of this was needed. After reading several google reviews, this seems to be typical of this place. They misdiagnose and are after your money. Read all the reviews and avoid this place."
"I don’t usually leave reviews, but I always read them. I am scared of the dentist and have neglected going for years because of this. I recently got dental insurance and decided to grow up and overcome my fear. This was one of the dental offices covered by my insurer, so I looked at the reviews…and wow, do they vary! Without denying the validity of those who had negative experiences, I’d like to say mine was not negative at all. I had a great experience, so now I feel inclined to add my review to the pile. This review is for anyone reading these who may hesitate to make an appt when they read the negative ones. I hesitated too. Wait time was minimal, procedures were efficient, pain during treatment was non-existent, there was no upselling, & I felt cared about and listened to. Everyone I encountered was kind and professional. This was one of the least stressful dental office visits I’ve ever had. For someone like me who is “not a fan” of going to the dentist, positive visits like these make a big difference and a lasting impression."
"Both Dr. Leiser and her assistant Michelle were so personable and sensitive to my comfort. They communicated what they were doing as they were working on my tooth. Front desk also explained costs and what my insurance would cover. I felt they paid attention and were knowledgeable and professional. Grateful!"
"Terrible customer service and money hungry Dentist. I arrived early to my appointment. The receptionist said she cancelled an appointment because they said they did not get my insurance. However, they did not send me an email letting me know. They did not send a text letting me know. They did not call me. I sent the insurance to them well prior to the appointment. I was also very early to the appointment. Before I left a post here about the dentist, I wanted to see if it was just me finding issues with this dentist. Nope. This dentist has a lot of recent problems. They then admitted to getting my insurance, but said I sent it too late. I could have even paid cash and completed the appointment. They wanted to reschedule. Of course that was not going to happen after that slap in the face. This goes to show that past critics of this dentist are true. They want that insurance money. I originally talked to Hannah who said their system did not support some kind of outreach, and that could also be their issue. Communication with clients. I suggest using someone else, because if you have any billing, insurance or other informational issues they will leave you in the lurch with no communication. Watch out for their reply here, it will be the same canned response they have used in the past regarding billing and customer service issues."
"I had been a patient of aspen dental, and my last visit with them brought tears to my eyes. I was scared when I went to Northshore Smiles, but they were amazing. The hygienist, Nichole, was so easy with me. I couldn’t believe it was over and there was no pain. I wish I had gone there years ago."
