Publix Super Market at Village Shops at Grande Dunes

"Went to this location today and unfortunately I didn't get her name that's running the self check dark brown short hair middle age woman. Anyways my mother and I were going to use the selfcheck out and first thing she says is "if your over 60 senior discount going to the registers." Which wasn't the issue at all I know that's her job to repeat to customers. The issue was I said "oh okay we are not there yet and chuckled" she looks straight at my mom and says "oh your not" as like she was requesting my statement. that is some horrible customer service to judge a book on its covers! Mind you my mom is sick with Cancer so maybe she does look over her age but that woman doesn't know her story and to judge someone on what she appears as is definitely not the kind of customer service I'd want when entering a store. & maybe the lady didn't mean anything by it but then when my mom walked away as I was ringing up I spoke to the lady saying I believe you owe my mom an apology for saying that. She shrugged it off like she did nothing wrong and repeated I say that to all my customers that's fine but the comment after I said we aren't there yet could of easily ended discussion with "oh I'm so sorry sweetie, have a great holiday" instead she said sorry to me and I said you're saying it to the wrong person still! And said nothing. And then out of all that I was trying to pay by cash but apparently I couldn't it had to be card but that probably should of been the first comment out her mouth when getting to the selfcheck out but instead it was about age. I wish I got her name. So that was my day for a Publix trip! Happy Holidays!"

"I received a free bar cake for my birthday on Saturday. It was so dry it crumbled when cutting and eating. It was the cookies and cream cake. I am a member of Publix and shop most every week. Cakes in past have been moist and delicious. I am disappointed."

"Went there while I was in the area because I heard they made good sub sandwiches. They do make a nice sandwich. I was surprised they had Ham salad on the menu, so I tried it. I had it on Pugliese sliced bread. 4 slices of bread to make sub sized, with ham salad, and I had spinach and onions with just a touch of mayo. Delicious! They had many combo's available."

"Publix was very clean, well stocked, and fresh fruits and vegetables. You can find delicious fruits you can't find at other grocery stores. I found these delicious cherry plums."
